TA Express--Gateway Travel Plaza — Attraction in Nacogdoches

We paid for the shower service. There was no one in the showers but they weren't clean & they staff got mad because they had to send someone in to clean them. When we finally entered the showers not even 5 minutes into the shower the employee "Natasha" knocked hard on the door yelling that we've supposedly been in there for a while. When I got out I asked who knocked on the door & the lady Natasha was cleaning another bathroom because there was other truck drivers waiting. I told her that she was being rude on the way she handle everything & in my 20 years of driving never had this bad service. Natasha insulted my wife when we gave her no motive to do so. I just told her that she shouldn't have knocked on the door so rudely, & that I will be complaining to Gateway. She said she didn't care, that she was tired of working there anyways & that she was just there to get a different job opportunity, she yelled at the cashier to give me back my I.D so I can leave the store. Stopped to buy some fried pies on Wed, 28th - had to wait until the clerk finished her conversation with her friend and then she came over and I ordered 5 fried pies. She walked back to her register and I walked down where she was when she requested I walk all the way around to the east side (even though we were only 3 foot apart as I was standing on the north side). I told her I'd pay cash and handed her my money - to which she responded I had to come around to the east side of her register. When I question why she gave no answer, but simply refused to take my $20 bill until I complied. When questioned as to what difference it made she told me I should have waved money in her face.

It appears she was upset that I interfered with her private conversation, but this was the most rude and arrogant clerk I have ever seen. I will not be back even though the fried pies...

Three strikes and you're out. This place makes me furious everytime I go in recently. First encounter with very rude staff over a messy counter. I was just pointing it out not pointing fingers! Second encounter was being told my family could not take showers because we didn't have the "rig" with us. They had never cared before and we used their facilities many times without the "rig" in the prior months. (Then the lady accused me of lying about it.
