I really wish I could give this place 0 stars. My husband paid $80 for BYOB sip and paint for our anniversary. When we walked in, there were 2 tables full of kids painting which is fine. I thought to myself, we must be drinking and painting in the back. It took 20min for someone to address us. We told ourselves itâs ok and we will wait it out. A few people ahead of us were seated in the back. 10 min later an employee sat us at the front table right in front of the kids and handed us 2 blank canvas. There were people standing all around us waiting to be seated as well. He told us that he was going to clear those people out, but they were never cleared. We waited for another 20 - 25 min for the employee to hand us paint brushes and he told us he was going to get some paint. Another 10 min, no one brought paint. My husband went to the back to find the employee and he was sketching art for another person instead of simply bringing us some paint. We finally decided to leave because we had dinner reservations starting soon and no one was willing to help us. We told the employee and he told us to request a refund through email. We did just that and the next day, this is the emails we received.
Initial email from us: I would like to be refunded for my booking Please. We waited 45 mins after my appointment without even getting any paint. I spoke with Chance about a refund and he asked me to send an email. Please accept this as a request for refund of 79.99 for my booking. Please respond .as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

My reply:
No y'all offered no customer service and now I have to leave a bad google review because you all don't have enough employees and you booked way to many people around the same time. We had dinner reservations soon and we didn't even touch paint after waiting 45 min. Someone told us to sit in the front with all the kids looking at us drinking wine and he told us he would clear all the people out so it would be more private. After waiting another 20 min, there was a line right in front of us going out the door. This was not a good experience at all. We waited around hoping that you all would make the proper changes but no one did anything. When we went to find the guy who was supposed to be bringing us paint, he was in the back make new sketches for people who were still waiting to be seated. That's when we asked for the refund. Since you will not be offering a refund, we will both be leaving google reviews. I really hate doing this and was hoping this could be worked out but now I have to make sure that other people will not fall into the same bad experience we had.
Art Urban reply:
We acknowledge that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience you encountered. As a business, we strive to provide the best possible service, but we also recognize that, at times, mistakes happen.
Had you chosen to leave before receiving any services, we would have gladly processed a refund. However, requesting a refund after the fact, despite receiving the service, is not reasonable. Fairness is important, and in this case, a refund is not warranted.
We respect your right to leave a review and share your experience.
Thatâs exactly what we did. This place stole our time and $80 out of our lives. I do not...
Read moreI would not recommend having a kid's birthday party there. I arrived 15 minutes early to set up like was told I could. The host said she was still setting up for another party, no big deal. I asked for a table to put the cake, pizza, and table decorations on. I was told I could bring whatever I wanted for the party, but it seems like she was unaware of this. I was also then told their were no restrooms that were usable. And we could take the kids to the bar or barbershop next door to use it.. When the kids arrived she attempted to put out blank canvases. I told her I sent pictures to put on canvas. She could get a hold of the owner. So I asked should we take the stuff down so we could eat pizza while we waited to get the correct ones. She replied whatever I wanted to do. She did not help take the easel and paint down nor gave directions on where to put these items. My family members helped remove items and service the kids. She was not involved with our guest at all. Once it was time for cake the started fixing the restrooms. The whole room smelled of fish and poop while serving cake. We had to ask her to cut the music off so we could sing. We ask to turn the lights off to sing happy birthday. She told me no. I've been to adults events here a few times and the staff is usually so helpful. They tell you how to mix colors and make sure you are having a good time. I was really disappointed in the quality of service we received on my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately I will not recommend this place like I usually do when ppl ask me about where to...
Read moreOur experience at Art Urban Nashvilleâs Splash n Dash was quite underwhelming and did not align with our expectations based on how the event was advertised. We were under the impression that the activity would be similar to paintballâinteractive and energeticâwhere participants could throw or shoot paint at one another. However, upon arrival, we found the space far too small to accommodate that type of experience safely or effectively.
Instead, we were given canvases and only five watered-down paint colors that did not adhere well to the canvas. It felt more like a basic at-home art project than an immersive or engaging outing.
Additionally, the provided body suits were clearly previously worn and not freshly cleaned or replaced between uses, which raised hygiene concerns. There were also no goggles or any form of eye protection offered, which seemed like a serious oversight given the potential for paint splashes.
The idea behind Splash n Dash is creative and has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, the activity fell short in several key areas. With better preparation, clearer advertising, and more attention to safety and cleanliness, this could be a much more enjoyable experience.
Overall, the experience felt poorly executed and not worth the cost. In the future, weâll likely opt for a more structured and sanitary experience, such as a sip-and-paint event, rather than returning to this...
