đđžLet me first say my server Erica was calm warm pleasant and professional. I am grateful for her excellent service.
However, This location is like a zoo (or more like an after hours urban club) during Sunday breakfast! The other women were yelling at the top of their lungs and rolling their eyes. And when I asked why were they yelling and behaving in that manner, three of the littlest loudest African American women servers replied indignantly, âWeâre happy, we like working like this!â I replied, wow the other locations donât do this, plus I worked at Waffle House and this indeed is rather interesting behavior. I would assume that my presence irritated the tiniest of the three women, because she kept yelling and slamming dishes in front of me. And when I tried several times to get her attention to ask her a question, she ignored me, rolled her eyes and slammed the dishes even louder.
Upon getting my food, I attempted to run from the chaos that ensued the diner. Unbeknownst, I left my wallet and cell behind. Surprisingly I heard the kind gentleman that sat next to me yell my name. âRenee!â Austin caught me before I left. I quickly returned, hurriedly thanked him and bolted out the exit doors. As I ran from the chaos and reached the second set of exit doors, the tiniest of the ladies, yelled at the top of her lungs âGOOD BYYEEE!â
The food was subpar, and itâs preparation was sloppy. Unless you like the club life, I highly recommend not stopping at the Clarksville Hwy Waffle House location. I will never...
Read moreWhile I would have liked to give a 5-star rating as I have other locations, I simply cannot due to the poor customer service, inconvenience, and extended wait times. (1) The server only took one order at a time (2)The cook visibly and audibly complained about taking orders when the hours of operation are posted as 9pm to 7am for to-go hours. Seems to be that the optimal approach would have been to take multiple hours, allowing the cook to prep in bulk to render shorter wait times, increasing customer satisfaction. (3) Despite signage saying to-go orders only, there seems to be a gentlemen waiting in the dining room, streaming videos and helping himself to whatever beverage of his choice behind the counter. One might have confused him for a staff member, yet his attire lacked the official uniform of the WH brand. (4) The staff refused to substitute bacon for a customer that doesnât eat pork. She simply wanted eggs in its place. Didnât seem like a hard ask, however the cook and server were unwilling to accommodate alternative dietary needs.(5) Believe it or not, the cook took a smoke. Pbreak in the midst of multiple orders needing to be completed.
Overall, this location could use an alternate staff that is willing and prepared to handle orders during this time period. I can only hope that WH leadership is able to rectify this establishment for the local community - as without their monetary patronage this brand cannot withstand future operations given the current...
Read moreBy far the worst Waffle House experience I have ever had. We walked in around 3 a.m. and were the only customers in the entire restaurant. The two employees working completely ignored our existence, one of them sitting in one of the booths and the other just idly standing there. After 10 minutes the one in the booth finally stood up and yelled at us across the restaurant only after hearing us complain amongst ourselves for not yet having received any service. Even then, she only spoke to berate us for complaining, not to offer service of any kind. The man who was standing finally came over and started "serving" us, if you could call it that. He took a handful of dirty silverware and put them in a mug of hot water to "clean" them then set the mug down on our table. He then asked to take our order, and we began to tell him the drinks we wanted. Before the second person could get their drink order out, he cut us off and demanded our entire order - food and all. The only problem with that was that we still had not received any menus, nor were there menus already next to the booth as there are at many other Waffle House locations. We all decided it would be best to drive the extra 3 miles to the next closest Waffle House, where we were immediately greeted and served. It honestly amazes me that with employees who treat customers this way this location is allowed to stay in business. I would give zero...
