I’ve dined in person and ordered from here many times.
Ordered from North tonight from Uber Eats. They have a BOGO special and I ordered the Burrito Basico. They have great burritos. They had Bogo on that so I ordered it hoping for 4 burritos.
When I got my order I only received two burritos. I tried calling but none of their numbers work other than the number in the gulch. The person on the phone was said they couldn’t help because there are no working numbers.
Great.
I needed to feed my kids so I cut the burritos in half and lo and behold…there was no meat.
I re read the menu and there was no description for the burrito. In the past they had Birria so I was a bit annoyed. It was pretty much just all rice with a few beans sprinkled in. I would have just ordered other things and paid full price had there been a good description.
Just annoyed that:
I’m happy to remove this if we can make this right as I love your business.
Order was a little after 5 on 6/5 but uber timestamp...
Read moreI got an $18 Birria Ramen to go and the most ridiculously priced Jarrito. $4 for a Jarrito is just inconceivable. That's just daylight robbery.
The 6oz noodles were not Ramen noodles but bland Lo mein noodles. In a separate 16oz container there was broth and Birria meat. Now the meat is probably what they use in a taco with taco seasoning etc and prob would have been great but not the consomme was not flavorful enough to go with bland noodles that totally destroyed the dish.
I can even see this being maybe like a Menudo, since all I got were just Mexican condiments (pic attached). But as an Asian, the term Ramen means something specific and nothing about this dish makes it a Ramen so it's more offensive calling it a Ramen.
Another factor is the credit card charge which is a normal business expense. What's next? Customers being charged for their business license? Or for paper to print the receipt? Or their electricity charge?
A business can choose to arbitrarily inflate prices or tack on junk fees like this restaurateur has decided to do. But as a customer, I can also make a firm stand of NEVER patronizing such an establishment and instead taking my friends to the other multitude restaurants that are more reasonable and better...
Read moreI was a guest at MDLV on the 6th day of their opening. I was the only one dining in at the time as the staff was preparing orders for their early morning customers. Although my husband is Mexican-born, I wasn't sure what to order when I arrived because everything looked so good, smelt yummy, and came at high recommendation from the staff. I told the server about my special food requests (no spicy and without certain ingredients) and they made the BEST sope dish I've ever had within minutes, making me feel that my requests were no issue at all. After my meal, I picked up my order of masa for making corn tortillas later that day. I asked for their advice on making tortillas, and the chef took me into the kitchen to share with me his experience with tortillas and a step-by-step of how to make the best corn tortilla. He let me take a couple of tortillas home that we made together and I was capable of repeating what he taught me at home. I was extremely humbled by this experience as I had never expected that the staff would welcome me in and share their culture and knowledge with me! The birria sope and horchata were AMAZING and FRESH! I can't wait to go back...
