Gets a bid muddy sometimes but a really nice park and well kept. My guys love the fenced in wooded trails. All the benches and sitting areas are in one spot so that area can get crowded since all the dogs like to gravitate to where the people hang out. So I reccomend walking out into the open areas just to break up the packs that bunch up.
On a side note, when my little Zoe was close to passing away, I'll never forget the amazing people that I met there. I made a lot of friends at a really tough time in my life. When Zoe was really sick, I took here for a last trip to the park. The word spread and all the "regulars" came that afternoon to say goodbye to Zoe and to sit with her (and me) and just be there. They didn't set on the benches. They sat on the ground in a circle around me and Zoe. Some of them I don't see anymore. But all of them will hold a very special place in my heart and I will NEVER...
Read moreQuickly becoming my Go To dog park. Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of open areas for dogs to run and play fetch, along with a large shaded area for cooling off. Drinking fountain and water dish fill station just inside the park entrance. Lots of chairs, benches and a picnic table for the humans to relax while the pups play. Jolly and I especially love the off leash wooded trails behind the park that are fully fenced in. This is the first and only Dog park that I have seen with this feature... it's Great to be able to let him chase down smells to his heart's content without "Dad" constantly getting tangled up. The wooded trail area is plenty large enough to have space to explore and keep coming back, while not so large you're afraid fido will get lost. Everyone that I've met here has been friendly and their dogs seem well behaved. Anice change of pace as not every dog park...
Read moreGreat park in that there is a big primary area for dogs to roam and a separate enclosed wooded area for the dog to get lost in the woods as my slightly crazy lab does. Two issues however I don't like is the basketball court next to the dog park section. Small parking area that forces a competition for limited parking spots during high traffic times. Not a good design there Metro. The other is typical of dog parks, some people just refuse to pick up their dog's poop. Or they are too busy yacking on their phones or BS ing with others and don't pay attention to their dog when they make a deposit so they don't pick it up. But this is typical of all dog parks. Over all pretty good park. One more thing, there are no lights in the park so make your way out...
