Great trail! Completely paved. There were some rest stops along the way, some just benches and some little train stops with clean bathrooms and fountains to fill water bottles. A lot of the trail had trees to give some shade but there were some other wide open areas too. I only did about half the trail, but I enjoyed the half I got to see. This section of New Albany is a great little town with shops and restaurants.

Wonderful walking and cycling experience, very pretty trail and well kept. Lots of rabbits, squirrels, and other wildlife. Beware of venomous snakes, though, as there is a lot of water around; came across a baby cottonmouth in the middle of the walkway myself, meaning there are probably lots more little ones around the same area. Escorted the little guy back into the brush a ways away from the asphalt.

This is the end trailhead of the Tanglefoot Trail. The trail starts in Houston, MS. In the Plaza, there are nice places to sit, and a yogurt store nearby, and a beautiful bridge that's part of the trail. We walked down the paved trail for about a mile. The trail is for skaters and cyclists too. The library just beyond the bridge has bicycles for trail use. They are free to use, just a library card is needed, and a person doesn't have to live in the area to get a card. The trail itself is wide enough for walkers and bike riders. When both are on the trail, the walkers stay on the left side of the trail, and the bike riders stay on the right. It seems like such a fun activity to ride a bike on this trail. There are restrooms along the trail (A very nice one was right beside the library), and we sat at a small pavilion with metal picnic tables to rest close to where we started walking. Just an amazing experience even though it was short. On a side note, the street near the Tanglefoot Trail Plaza had some nice stores to shop at too, and a great bakery. The wedding cookies...
