A nice steakhouse located in downtown New Albany MS. We visited on a Saturday evening around 6:00. The place was busy, but we were seated as soon as we walked in. Our server was prompt with getting our drinks and our orders. She did, however, fail to enter our order correctly, and we were short 1 entrƩe when the order came out. She immediately came over and apologized for the error and explained how it happened. Within just a few minutes, the entrƩe came out. Overall, the food was good. The steaks were cooked to the desired doneness and had a good flavor. The salad bar had plenty to choose from, and the greens were fresh and crisp. The grilled shrimp were tasty and had a Cajun seasoning added to them. Service was good, the prices aren't bad, the place was clean, and there is plenty of parking at the side of the building.

We were surprised that a fish and steak restaurant didn’t have fish on the menu for lunch. It’s only available on Fridays at lunch but they were so kind to make us delicious fried catfish filets! They were wonderful- light, cornmeal batter and fried perfectly. The baked potatoes were fluffy and served with butter and sour cream. The hush puppies were very flavorful and not greasy. They have a nice salad bar. Several types of cakes for dessert. Other lunch menu items include hamburgers, wraps, sandwiches and salads, chicken strips. The service was outstanding! Even with our special order, the food came out quickly and was nice and hot. Wonderful waitress. Family friendly, casual atmosphere.

The food was awesome. Only complaint is the waitress never came to the table to ask how were we doing . And the lady that came to take our dirty dishes was rude by not speaking back. But like I said the food was awesome.

Last evening (8/24/2019) we went to .your establishment for dinner. Half way there ā€œthe bottom fell outā€. As we were meeting friends there we slowly crawled to our destination. By the time we got there our friends had already arrived. We literally parked in front of restaurant and I got out into ankle deep water. Got soaked while getting umbrella for my wife. Got into the restaurant and was met with very friendly greeters. I requested a table for Four near the restroom and was told it would be an approximate 20 minute wait. I called our friends and told them that we were in and to try to sit the rain out. In a short while our name was called and we then called our friends. (I promise this is leading somewhere šŸ˜„). In a short while they arrived and after a brief chat we ordered and were told that we could go to the salad bar. Then the lights went out! Then the strangest things started happening Three of us were standing at the salad bar in almost total darkness. Someone outs with a flashlight and as he filled his bowl he was holding light for us, then different members of the waitstaff produced flashlights and the entire attitude went from quite cordial to total helpfulness. This was customers, staff and busboys all included we got our meal, ate in semi darkness and had a marvelous time. I’m assuming as soon as the lights went out they stopped any new arrivals. My hat is off to the entire staff. ALL WAITSTAFF BUSBOYS ETC WERE HELPING. When we went to pay this was all done on a cellular phone calculator. I heard NO GRUMBLING From any customer.

I will definitely be back. Dannie R Foster...

My husband and I get seated last night. We order at 6:20. Chicken strips and a hamburger streak. We finish our salads and wait and wait. All the tables around us who arrived after us get their food. The waitress was too busy playing with kids at next table. While we are stil waiting. So we get up to leave and just pay for our salads and teas because now it's 7 o'clock. The waitress comes up with the food in her hands amd says I was bringing it out. I said that's fine we just want to pay for our salads because we've been waiting 40 minutes. She argued with me saying no you haven't I put your order in at 6:20.....ok I guess math isn't her strong suit and granted I'm no Albert Einstein but if you put an order in at 6:20 and it's now 7:00 thats 40 minutes. She walks up to the cashier and starts talking about us. She said the food had to come out of a different kitchen, so I guess that kitchen was across town? Maybe thats why the wait was so long. I asked for the owner and she was very nice and offered to bag up the food. At this point we were over it. Get the food home and the chicken strips were slimy on the inside. We threw it all in the trash. Employees like this cost businesses customers. If she had just apologized for the wait instead of making it look like we were the problem, she's going to argue about the time making herself look ignorant talking about us to the cashier. We will never go back to...

I've been here twice, and the most annoying thing is that if you want to order anything other than an appetizer, you have to go to the restaurant side to sit and wait forever for your food. I tried fried pickles for the first time here on the restaurant side because friends I was eating with ordered sandwiches, but the portion was pretty small, although I didn't need a lot of it. The second time fried pickles were ordered on the bar side, they were quite larger. The tempura fried goat cheese balls drizzled with honey and cracked pepper was awesome, but overpriced for 5 balls ($10).

The beer, wine, cocktails, and liquor selection is large. Scotch is priced from $8 to $14 (I believe) a glass. Beer and wine prices seem standard, but everything else is a dollar or two higher than I'm used to.

I did enjoy the booths and large tables with stools we could combine for bigger groups. Overall, fond memories here, but I'll probably stick to Hey Joe's for the most part unless the occasion is a bit more formal (which...
