This park is one of the greatest treasures in Fall River. It is so relaxing to come, and just sit and relax, on a hot day.
On the side with the benches that acknowledge WWII war veterans, there are shade trees and you often get a breeze off the water. While sitting, you can watch boats go by, watch activity on the bridge, or just peacefully collect thoughts.
Right off the parking lot are great tennis playing areas. There are postings about how to become involved.
If you are more adventurous, you can take advantage of the walking/biking path. You can go by community boating, venture further along where there may be park activities. I've seen concerts and heard outdoor worship services in the past.
If you venture further along you have a welcome center with many resources.
Some like touring the Battleship and others enjoy the Carousel.
There's so much more to Fall River if you choose to venture outside of the parameters...

Of course I also pay my tribute to the WWII veterans. There's a beautiful view here also. I came for the sunset on the water. The only thing spoiling the view is the power plant on the other side of the water. Other than that it's beautiful. It's going to be one of my usual walks from now on. There are park benches and you can bring your dogs. There's a great view of the Bridge. You wouldn't know that you were in Fall River otherwise. I love...

The Park itself has been greatly improved in 2018 with more benches, and monuments to those who have fought for our country. Plenty of grassy areas and great views of the water and bridge. Bring a blanket or chair to sunbathe, and read a book, catching water breezes. You can also walk along the water from this park to Battleship...
