New Britain Market Place — Attraction in New Britain

My husband and I went in for 1st time. We were looking for a pork shoulder. Food I saw in freezer was freezer burned. We went up to meat counter stood there for 10 mins as the lady behind it ignored us. I saw some desserts I was going to get. When a lady from other side of store asked us what do you need? Asked for a pork shoulder, she picks up small piece. Said it was not big enough. She had a serious attitude and didn't even ask if we wanted anything else and rolled her eyes at us. This place is depressing. Dingy, dark, holes in the floor, smells like an old, wet basement. Wilted vegetables, miserable fruit. There was a bag of something on one of the shelves that looked like a rodent got into the contents. The staff had an attitude and is obviously past caring for anything. They wouldn't slice anything because we were there shortly before closing. If it's your place- it needs a total overhaul. Crew is nice over all. Prices on most stuff are competitive with other stores around. I could only wish this place would be slightly bigger and carry more products. We shop there every other month or so (since we live far, - there is no good Polish store/deli close to us) but we spend a lot each time, big shopping. It is worth it.
