This is a wonderful dedication to a history-making event. However, the lack of care, maintenance and upkeep is sorely disappointing. We were visiting from a location over 10 hours away by car. When we saw that were were only minutes away from this Park, we had to visit. This was our second time there and the last time almost brought tears to my eyes. The plagues were faded and overgrown, the parking lot was so littered with trash, it was unbelievable. The shoreline was littered with trash. Bacalaitos, alcapurias, pinchos, carucho etc. I know I can get these treats elsewhere, however when I come here I feel as if I were to be chinchoreando in the Island. I pull out my beach chair buy a piña colada and sit by the water and enjoy the time with friends and family. There are a variety of food trucks from Puerto Rican, Cuban, Mexican, Indian and a few more. You can have your pick. I suggest walking them all before you choose the one. Or maybe get taco, then a samosa, then a piña colada all from different trucks. Just a good place to enjoy...
