Ā Ā Ā Read moreLocation on Long Wharf one of the food trucks. Waited in the sun for over an hour for food. (Closer to the 2 hour mark.) Ordered 4 alcapurrias, a chicken empanada, rice and beans and carne frita. Only thing seasoned well was the beans. Literally everything else barely had any flavor. Was not worth the wait in the sun. We paid about $30 or so, and between us (2people) we ate 1 alcapurria and the corner of the rice where the beans were and left the rest and ate 2 little pieces of carne frita. Definetly will not go back. Did not have that well seasoned Puerto Rican flavor.... update When I posted this I got a response from whom I believe was the owner, they were a bit ticked off lol. I guess they couldnt handle the truth.. I am always honest and blunt in my reviews, people work way too hard for their money to just literally throw it away on food that was not worth what they paid. If ya stop on Long Warf to grab a bite to eat, I definetly do not recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I travel many times on I95 and always said we would stop at LONG WHARF Connecticut to check out some of the food trucks. Well we did and WOW! There were so many PR food trucks to choose from but we went to CHICKY MUNCHY and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and fresh. The truck was nice and clean. Very representable. I truly thought I was in PR eating in a restaurant. We had the chicken pincho with plantains and a alcapurria. Food is authentic, took me back to my younger days in Spanish Harlem where we use to go to eat at the cuchifritos. Again I highly recommend this specific food truck if you're looking for authentic PR food. It's a little pricey but you will not be disappointed....
