For those interested in the history of the Southern Louisiana area, this is a rewarding experience, gives a good overview of all the facets of sugar cane, salt mining, Cajun Culture, food, and music. One can then get more in depth exposure by going to the Tabasco Factory, Avery Island, Jefferson Island, Konrico Rice Factory, Jennerette Sugar Cane Museum. Just down the street is Victors Cafe, highly recommend for a hole in the wall cafeteria, really good shrimp and grits.
