Nice park to walk the trail. Thumbs down to the closed pool. Kudos to the dog park BUT why do people bring unsocialized dogs to a dog park. And, the dog park provides poop bags yet people still don’t pick up after their dog. SMH. Overall a nice park for children to play on the playgrounds or adults to launch a boat into the bayou. Also, I can’t wait for the summer time events filed with good food and local businesses and entrepreneurs. A great place to duck watch or just sit and enjoy a quiet lunch at a picnic table. There is a bathroom and it is clean but does not have paper towels to dry your hands. There’s also a community building for kid summer activities or adult stuff. Small Town big town attitude, so many things to see and do, main Street seems like you may be on a side st in the big easy, festivals, Fe dois dois, zooziana, seafood cooked to perfection, Avery island is where Tobasco sauce is made seed to finish. There is an aviary on the island, a huge budda sits in all his majesty in the middle, bamboo, bigger than any I ever dreamed of. This population count has increased by about 150 people according to the 2000 census count. Iberia has an elementary, juinior and high school. There are no major retail stores in this town, however does have a supermarket, Casey's convenience store and in the last year or two a Dollar General. The Iberia City Park itself is right on the out skirts of the town. Taking the main road through the town will lead you right to the park. It has three covered pavilions.
