My grandparents and great grandparents are buried here. I'm not sure how far back our family ancestors go back in New Orleans but I'm researching it now. I love this old cemetary. This is old New Orleans. There are graves from the early 1800's. It is so fascinating to see and realize how old this city really is. Beautiful and peaceful.

Many from my mother's side of the family, including my grandparents, are buried in this cemetery. However, when my mom passed, dad decided to locate her with his parents. The reason for this decision was because the cemetery and surrounding areas have become so crime infested that one takes their personal security into risk if one wants to visit a loved one's grave. I have never been to my grandparents' grave for that particular...
