Been here 5 or 6 times now. I've had a growing opinion on this little spot. Initially, I liked it. Food is pretty good when I'm not waiting for 45+ minutes for my order on a weekday afternoon and my coffee grows cold. Since COVID, food quality seems to be on a gradual decline along with this business. You get charged for virtually everything here, coffee refills no exception, regardless of whether it will be dumped out in another hour or two anyways. Want an extra sauce? That'll be another three dollars please. And no doubt you would be able to taste the store bought preservatives in those 5$ muffins. Oh, and I quickly noticed that the employee overturn here is crazy. They all look miserable. The insane prices, coupled with the insincere attitudes of the owners and a quick google search of their names, I was quickly able to put together the picture. Take a look at how they acted over at Zeke's before it shut down. Anyone with eyes and a brain begins to stay away from here after a good couple of visits. I'll give it another 4 or 5 years, give or take. In the meantime, I can get my breakfast sandwich and coffee anywhere else, for much cheaper, with the assurance that I'm supporting good and...
Read moreWouldn’t normally leave a review but had a rude experience with the staff here. I ordered a sandwich with ham and cheese only on it and I specifically told the woman taking my order ham and cheese only and she said got it! I get my sandwich after 20 minutes and it was fully dressed. I politely went to the younger guy working the counter and asked if they could fix it and this older gentlemen that was in the kitchen area not by the counter rudely yells across “did you read the description on the menu where it says what comes on it?” I then replied “yes, that’s why I said ham and cheese only.” He then went to argue with me again saying she didn’t have it on the ticket so I must’ve not made it clear and then another younger girl behind the counter said “No, I heard her tell her she must’ve just not written it down.” I hate even going back to say that it was wrong, but my bill for a coffee and sandwich was $24 and he didn’t have to argue with me in front of 13 other people in the...
Read moreGrabbed some to-go for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I got the shrimp & grits and my friend got the steak & egg sandwich. The wait time was about 20 minutes longer than the quoted time, but we're in the middle of a pandemic and recovering from a hurricane 2 days ago, so the few extra minutes was totally understandable. Judging from the number of names that were called as we waited, they had a ton of online orders. The portions were small to me. You might want some sort of side if you're ordering a breakfast sandwich. My shrimp & grits were pretty bomb, truly, but the portion was also on the smaller side. The dine-in situation looked really nice, with ample outside seating that made me wish we were eating there. It's a cute neighborhood place. The total with grat for our two items was just over $28. I'll be back to sit outside and try more...
