I love going to record stores. It's a small hobby or quirk of mine, so my experience was fairly nice. I didn't speak to the retailers much since I was just visiting, but I do intend to go back to buy some of the merch. They had some shirts, hoodies, and a backpack I wanted. However, I'd like to buy a vinyl record player at some point, and they may be the store I buy that from. Some of their selections are pretty good, and they have plenty of dark fantasy, punk rock, and Bohemian themed items to check out. It's not a large store, and I think the smoke shop is really the focus or "main half" of business. I don't smoke, so I shopped around for other things. A lot of their music consists of used items such as CDs and DVDs and a small range of unfamiliar artists to really egregious artists. I think if they could expand more in their music selections, they'll be the record shop to watch. Same with their anime merch. Cowboy Bebop is one of the GOATs in anime history, same with the Gundam series, but there's only 1 or 2 posters in the back for them. Sailor Moon is also the GOAT in the magical girl category, but merch is limited to a poster and backpack. Now, this isn't an anime shop, so I don't expect a lot, but it was a surprise to see classics there. One Piece of the Big 3 was in there, but the other members of the Big 3 weren't really as present. Expansion would definitely push this store into orbit because it's really not often you see anime stuff in a record store, but you typically wouldn't expect that either unless the store was selling the theme music (or linked records) that the J-pop or J-rock groups made. I haven't seen that since Blockbuster and Barnes & Noble MAYBE. That's usually a novelty shop thing that focuses on that stuff, which are really scarce in New Orleans. This hole in the wall is like an old head shop where they sell a wide variety of cloths cds and patches and of course the mountains of horrible body jewelry which I think they run constant sales on. Lowest quality imaginable. The sales person took it out to show a customer and walked away letting them thumb through it freely. This is something someone is putting in their body and the amount of people that have touched it (scary). Places like this should not be allowed to sell body jewelry. Body jewelry should come with a warning, if it is obviously of low quality, made in china, stating there might be a huge chance of complications that can arise from putting unsafe products in your body..

Hi McCall thanks for telling me I should talk about stuff I know umm by the way I own a body piercing shop in new Orleans and sell nothing but implant grade titanium jewelry so maybe you should not talk about stuff you don't know and there is no titanium jewelry in your selection not for the price of 3.99 and if you knew what your where talking about body jewelry is not the same as regular jewelry and you cannot clean bio matter off with just alcohol wipes. Just to prove you don't know what you are talking about surgical steel is not a real thing it is made up to falsely let people think they are getting implant grade. I've been going to this record store for over ten years and it has always been one of my favorite businesses in the city to shop around at whether it be for vintage t-shirts, new/used records, posters, or smoke accessories. I've always been satisfied with the customer service throughout the years I've been going and never had any complaints.

Just when I thought this place couldn't get any better, they threw me an unexpected curveball during the holiday season. I came across a very nice glass item that I desperately wanted to purchase for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. Fast, convenient, and easy to set up, I was able to purchase this item for my gf that same night and had one of the best customer experiences of my life. The entire staff was a such joy to talk to while setting up the plan, I found myself spending more time at the shop than intended and even treated myself to a little more shopping. The whole crew (AZ, Mike, Steph, and Elliot) were super friendly and gave me a truly unforgettable experience.
