A Cool Little Park Perfect for Summer Strolls with the Kids

Great park with lots to do. There's a few pieces of playground equipment for 2 to 5 year olds and a large climber with a few other pieces for 5 to 12 year olds. There are baby swings but no regular swings. There is a self propelled train track with individual train cars that is a lot of fun but requires adult supervision to make sure kids don't get bumped or hurt. There is also a water element but it was not on when we were there. Overall very nice park for a variety of age groups.

Lovely addition to the town's variety of parks... But people really need to supervise their kids better. It is one thing not to at a normal park, but quite another when they use the little trains as bumper cars and hurt other kids, put their hands or feet on the track when others are coming and such. We won't go back when it is busy because both of my kids were hurt one right after the other using the trains while other kids careened around unsupervised by...

My son and I love the new park and send our fondest thanks to the Takiff family and the park district for making it happen.

I struggle with the hand crank train. The kids love it. It's completely unique and novel. To even consider putting something like that in a public park demonstrates a vision that few possess. But alas, the Lord of the Flies scene that surrounds it tests my patience... I'm afraid I can only stand to make this park a special treat, not a...
