BSW Beauty - Bronx — Attraction in New York

I've been a customer here since it has opened and I have never had an unpleasant experience other than this one. I was with a friend when I arrived and the door was locked. I read online that they close at 8pm prior to showing up and I arrived at around 7:40pm so I was confused as to why the door was locked. A male employee was by the door so we tried to ask him what time they close, but he walked away. When we knocked on the door to get his attention he came back and addressed us, but it was difficult to hear him over the door, our masks, and the loud parking lot. He proceeded to speak through the closed door until he was forced to open it to let a customer out. As he pushed the door open and my friend caught the door to let the customer through. After the customer walked through, the employee was attempting to pull the door shut while my friend was in the doorway, so the door ended up hitting my friend on the arm. My friend and I told the employee that what he was doing was very rude and that we just wanted to know what time they close since online it said 8. He responded shouting "7:45, What don't you understand?". After that, a woman who we assumed to be another customer leaving approached the door so we moved out of the way so that she can exit the store. Turns out, she too was an employee and as we moved out of the way she took hold of the door and closed it right in our faces. Again, we expressed that this was very rude so she rolled her eyes, said "alright", and opened the door to tell us that they do close at 8pm but they take the last customer at 7:45pm. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and with how my friend and I were being treated here. That is truly no way to treat a customer, not even just a customer but a person. My friend and I will no longer shop here and support this business after being treated so terribly by not one, but two...

I visited BSW Beauty alone today to pick up some beauty supplies for my girlfriend, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service I received.

As a man in a beauty store, I initially felt a bit out of place, but the staff at BSW Beauty quickly made me feel welcome and comfortable. Despite being alone and unsure of what exactly to purchase, they were incredibly helpful and patient with me.

One worker, in particular, went above and beyond to assist me in finding the right products for my girlfriend. They took the time to understand her preferences and needs, offering valuable recommendations and advice along the way.

The selection of beauty products at BSW Beauty is impressive, and I was able to find everything I needed with their assistance. From nail supplies to hair care products, they have a wide range of options to choose from.

But what truly stood out to me was the level of customer service provided. Despite being alone in the store, I never felt judged or ignored. The staff made me feel valued and supported throughout my shopping experience.

I like this store u can call and they help do u save time and effort - they have a wide variety of things - and sweet helpful black females who know their sh!t the manager is nice to a Hispanic dude who is eager to assist- and even though they are not black owned atleast they hire people of color to serve people of color that’s no coincidence

one time a girl was late n it was just the manager so he made us wait and wouldn’t open on time o felt like he made us wait like he thought we would steal if no one was present and that felt uncomfortable but it could have been something else , eventually he let us in which is good cuz I had clients waiting and was growing aggravated and offended / but I could be wrong and maybe that’s just policy/ procedure

other than that ide recommend shopping with them they have a wig station in the back with assistance if need be and all things u can think of for men and women and children lots of accessories for hair and what not I...
