Stars & Stripes Playground — Attraction in New York

I enjoy going to the park with the kids. For the most part the play ground is clean. The sprinklers works properly and the kids always enjoys it in the summer. The park have 2 bathrooms. I never had to used any of them before so I dont know the condition of the inside. They have swings for toddlers and the older children. Overall the park is okay and is in good condition. They have 2 jungle gyms, one for the younger kids and one for the older ones. Next to the park is a nice open area that people used to bbq or even have their birthday party celebration. Unfortunately, alot of smoking takes place in the park by older folks, especially men. They will come and sit on the benches in the back of the park, play music and smoke. It is fine to gather there and play music but not to smoke. I think it is distateful and they should gather somewhere else if they are going to smoke. Sadly, where they like to gather has a small jungle gym for the toodlers and I barely let my kids go over to that area because of them. I wouldn't say I feel unsafe its more of comfort and health issue. No Smoking should be done in the park, go else where. Overall, I would say the park itself is a great park. But the people who use it, if they don't take care of it, the place will soon be run down and of no use to...
