Devoe Park — Attraction in New York

This park is kept very clean thanks to Parks and Recreation maintainence staff who maintain the park daily. Shout out to the teens in the Summer Youth Employment program who keep the park clean as well.

I appreciate the new trees that were installed in the park as well. The grass is well manicured.

Although there is nothing really elaborate about the park, it is small, cozy and good for brisk walk or run around. I brought a towel and sat on the grass, zoned out to music with my lunch and tea soaking in the sun the other day. I will do that again. Very enjoyable. I was surrounded by families and others. A quiet clean park, with great views of Manhattan and different sections of the Bronx, strangely enough very lightly used except for people waiting on the buses or just someone passing by and walking through, very close proximity to the veterans hospital and a few other care facilities, so it's perfect for walks for patients doing rehabilitation, a great place to just sit and do some people watching, I think one of the most beautiful views is in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees and a little coating of snow on the ground. This park is on the corner of university ave and Fordham rd where 3 different bus lines passes thru here. The bx3 and the bx12 and the bx12 select. The park has a kiddie park with sprinklers for those hot summer days. Plus family gather on Tuesday nights to play family bingo.. And some play music and do cookouts here.
