While they have expanded from their previous location and have a decent inventory and selection of items, their customer service is severely lacking in professionalism.
Went in to purchase a number of items, one being material, so after a pleasant experience with the woman on the first floor who cut my ribbon I was directed to the second floor for the materials I was seeking.
After waiting for the customers before me to have their material cut, two bolts of the material I needed were at the designated cutting area. The Latin man cutting the fabrics told me the price of them per yard and when I requested the yardage of each he walked away without any word. I waited for a significant amount of time and it was not until I asked if he was going to return did he slowly stroll back. Not only was his attitude laxed but he blatantly lied to the manager on duty that he told me he would be right back.
That was my first and will be my last time I will support this location with my business. As a maker of many things from sewing, to knitting, crocheting and much more I will take the trip up to JoAnn's in Yonkers or down to Manhattan for my business.
As a Bronxite and great supporter of small businesses, I would have LOVED to support a local business. They have lost me, my mother and the many artists and makers I have in my circle.
Good beginning but terrible ending. Improve your customer service if you wish to keep a good flow of clientele and draw more in. I am utterly disappointed and underwhelmed by my first experience at their...
Read moreI have never felt so unwelcomed at a store before. This particular store located at Fordham, Bronx. I visited the place looking for fabric and from that first moment in which I wanted guidance and information (I am not knowledgeable) and what's treated with total disrespect by a female at the register (who appeared to be annoyed) and thinking back, I should have followed my instincts and just ran out of there. But, I proceeded to go upstairs where I was greeted with more annoyance. Absolutely no one wanted to work or help. At the end, after my complaining, a man sort of responded to my questions but again with an annoyed face. No manners whatsoever. Definitely no customer service etiquette. People like that should work at a warehouse or place with no human contact. I give two stars because I liked some of the craft items, but I will never visit or recommend to anyone. Worst...
Read moreI was thrilled to have this store close home , there is a decent variety of fabrics , art/craft supplies and even sewing machines . They could have used their space batter and have a larger variety of fabrics , but this is not the main problem with this store . The man cutting the fabric on the second floor , has a very unpleasant demeanor . He doesn’t offer any help , he is sitting there checking his phone and ignoring people . I asked him for 2 yards of a fabric and he seemed extremely bothered by the interruption, please read the other reviews and do something about this person’s behavior. There is another store selling fabrics a few feet away , so I won’t be coming back here . This screenshot is from your social media and this is the person I’m talking about at your...
