View here is really nice and the sunsets are beautiful. If you’re looking for something to relax to the waters are really nice. Only thing is there are a lot of rats by the rocks later on at night so be careful. You can go on nice walks and occasionally there will be an ice cream truck.

View here is really nice and the sunsets are beautiful. If you’re looking for something to relax to the waters are really nice. Only thing is there are a lot of rats by the rocks later on at night so be careful. You can go on nice walks and occasionally there will be an ice cream truck.

Park is nice but the Fort is only open Saturday and Sundays 12:00-4pm or by appointment. Park grounds are open 6am-9pm. Also know that it is a 3rd of a mile walk to the old fort from the public parking area. It is paved the whole way but there are some moderate hills. Park has restrooms and a good amount of parking. Great place for a walk especially since it is a home for NYPD, FDNY, USCG, and the U.S. Army Reserves, so I'd imagine it's very safe unless you're the...

Fort Totten is said to be haunted by several ghosts; visitors have heard footsteps, a voice speaking in a foreign language, and a woman’s voice in the restrooms.
