As a long time resident of the neighborhood, I decided to give this place a go and ordered delivery. Let me preface this by saying that Chinese food is my favorite cuisine, and I have never not liked a single Chinese restaurant in NYC in my 30+ years of living here - many are mediocre, but all passable.
That is, until this establishment. Every item I ordered either had almost no flavor or had a weird aftertaste. I was honestly baffled - I've had better Chinese food in strip malls in the middle of nowhere.
The wonton soup's broth tasted almost like straight up water, almost zero flavor. The wontons themselves were cooked well, but the shells had a weird aftertaste and the fillings were flavorless.
The chicken spring rolls were extremely oily and again, basically no flavor aside from the tiny cup of mediocre duck sauce they give you for two rolls.
The Shanghai pork soup dumplings would have been passable if the shells didn't have that weird aftertaste. The broth was lackluster but compared to the wonton soup broth felt like a flavor bomb. Unfortunately, the weird tasting dumpling wrappers ruined it for the broth and filling.
Portion size wise, they give a good raw volume of food for the price, but since it tasted bad it's not worth the price in my opinion.
If your in the neighborhood and want good Chinese food but don't want to deal with going all the way to Flushing, skip this place and take the 5 extra minutes to drive...

Welcome to the neighborhood, Dim Sum Bloom! This place is a convenient gem for hot dim sum and full meals.
I was originally planning to grab takeout on my way to play pickleball at the park — but since it started raining and the interior looked so clean and inviting, I decided to dine in instead. I’m glad I did!
The restaurant is modern and cozy, and you can even watch some of the food being prepared by machine. It’s fun to see — and the best part is, the quality is consistent from the first dish to the last. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious.
They’re currently running a grand opening promotion for the first 50 customers, so it’s a great time to stop by and give it a try. I’m already planning to come back for lunch and dinner....
