Sat. 5-27-23: VERY DISAPPOINTING!
1, S-L-O-W service! (I mean like, VERY slow!)
Half the time, one of the (hispanic) counter people (who also prepares the sandwiches) does not understand instructions given to them in simple English AND therefor somehow/someway . . . manages to screw up the order. Good intent, VERY poor execution!
The "eat-in" area is a (DUMPY) mess. Boxes pilled everywhere, tables with recent customers leftovers - still on the table tops, UCH!
The customer bathroom is . . . borderline "filthy!".
Ok, so today, I placed an order for a simple (egg) sandwich with a Capichino coffee. The sandwich was "OK", but the Capichino took 12 minutes (yup, you read correctly, 12 minutes) to make. So, by the time I received it, my egg sandwich was COLD! Who wants to eat a cold egg sandwich? NOT me! So, please note, I am OK with how long it took to make the Capichino (the machine had not been used recently, so he had to "set up" the machine. BUT, why didn't he tell me (in advance), that it was going to take 12 minutes - in which case, I would have ordered some other type of beverage. Just plain ole' "common sense", or . . . . . . lack thereof! So, all-in-ll my "dinning experience" here today - was VERRY DISAPPOINTING! I didn't bother asking for the manager, because if I had spoken to him, he would have "blown off" my complaint, and acted like he was going to do something about. But in real life, he wouldn't have given a (S - - T) about what the customer thinks! YOU KNOW IM RIGHT!
Ever wonder why "small businesses" stay small? It's because they don't have the BRAIN capacity to (EVER) see the "big picture", or . . . even think five minutes ahead of themselves to avoid problems . ....

He immediately started my first bagel w let me get the full order out (toasted bagel w cream cheese) before I can say Iām not done he goes over to the refrigerator and starts to grab the cream cheese. I stated āsir can you toast it pleaseā. He then rudely said I already put cream cheese on it. I then stated sir no you did not because I can see the cream cheese spreader that is clean in your hand through the fridge. He then barely toasts it and starts to give me my total. I then said sir Iām not done ordering. He then stated you never said you wanted anything else. I then stated sir, you never even waited to see if I wanted anything else. You immediately started my bagel. Horrible service and this is not the first time an incident similar to this has happened. This is ridiculous how they treat their customers especially when we live in the neighborhood, and come here all the time! New management and employees needed there. I discovered this place about two years ago when I moved to Bayside, and now I come in quite frequently and on a weekly basis. I order a variety of things depending upon how I feel honestly. Truthfully, I can assure you that they have always rendered me top qaulity service and not to mention that the food is absolutely delicious. I rarely write reviews but I feel like I just needed to express how great of a place this is. Unfortunately, when people have no lives and a lot of free time on their hands they take the liberty of writting hurtful reviews about someone's business not understanding the implications that it could have because their feeble mind cannot fathom what is involved in owning a business. I never understood how someone could proudly herald the title of "local guide" and even show their face in the street.
