I visited for the 1st time on labor day because I wanted to explore a new area on the last day of summer. I enjoyed my time here for the following reasons. 1st there's no fee to enter, park or to have access to the beach. There are actual restrooms, play area for kids. There's a restaurant on the boardwalk which is the only one I saw,and another spot to grab, fries burgers ice cream etc. You'll have a great view of the verrazano bridge and the lower ny bay. Dog friendly and you're allowed to ride your bike. However few of the boards need maintenance. Only downside if you don't live on the island and you're driving in There's the toll you must pay. If you try getting here by ferry is not convenient at all driving is the best option. It was a great choice to visit and spend my last the of summer. Overall I had a pleasant experience definitely recommended, you don't see any crazy crowds at least not while...

Nice place to go for fishing and to just hang out and enjoy the Sun the ocean and the beach.⛱️☀️👍 My first time here was an experience. I started taking photos and enjoy the view. There was a few insects flying around and there was one person flying a kite. There's also a guard keeping an eye on everybody on the boardwalk and helps people fish too. They have restrooms just in case if you want to go and I haven't been to them yet. I don't really know if you can have dogs at this place, but find out for yourself. I recommend you go to this place if you want to fish or enjoy the...

This boardwalk, Ocean Breeze Pier, the Midland Beach promenade section, and all of the beach, are all amazing! It's peaceful, never too crowded, the views are awesome, and it's near the S51 and S52 buses from the Staten Island Ferry. You can also take the S79 or S53 from Bayridge in Brooklyn, and it's not a long walk from Hylan Boulevard. If you're looking for a beach getaway I highly recommend it! Yes, Coney Island and Rockaway Beach are good, but this place is an oasis away from the chaos of New York City without having to...

I've always come here when I was a kid and teen. I decided to take my kids to the beach today. The area hasn't changed much. They still have the turtle sprinkler and looks like they are setting up for an event with a stage for music. The day was perfect for the beach, and we sat right next to the lifeguards. There are many here, and it is not crowded so it made the day that much more fun.
