Amazing Deli — Restaurant in New York

On 4/8/2025, I acquired six bunker pieces that were allegedly fresh. They put the bunker in a plastic bag on ice. Three hours later, the bag was relocated to a cooler with more ice. The next day, I drove 1.5 hours to fish for striped bass. When I attempted to grab a bunker from the cooler, it fell apart in my hand. This happened with all six pieces, clearly indicating that the bunker was not fresh. It is implausible that this could have been mistaken for fresh bunker. I wouldn't doubt this was leftover bunker from the previous year, which had been previously frozen. I spoke to the owner, he said the bunker was from Monday 4/7/25. There is no way this is possible. He did offer to replace the bunker when he has fresh bunker. I should of been made aware that the bunker was not fresh and made a choice if I wanted to buy it anyway. This was not the case. I took a day off work and traveled 1.5 hours with bunker that wouldn't stay on the hook.

Giving a shout out to the all the Amazing staff at this local deli. Great coffee, steam table with hot food daily, tip come early for the full selectio made fresh daily. Fresh bagles and heros with any sandwich you like. Huge selection of food, snacks and cold drinks. Its very convenient if your at or going to the beach and want to get things, even ice for your cooler. They also have bait n tackle if your going surf or pier fishing across the boulevard at the beach. Dont forget your lotto and say hi to Freddy Ollie and Lynn at check out. They have been open through the hurricane and now the Global pandemic. They are considerate of their safety protocols and all staff are wearing masks for everyones protection. The blonde woman that has denied my out of state license for months finally let my 30 year old self buy some alcohol tonight all because I knew the other cashier for awhile now and was talking to him prior. Rejoice! My license is legitimate and I work for the military. I never cause a fuss and gladly pay their over priced rates. Glad she finally let me be a consumer today even though the rest of the staff has had no problem serving me with my out of state ID for months! I get denied service time and time again, though illegal drinking is prohibited, without a license, out front on the benches daily.
