I've been coming to this beach since I was a kid literally. It has really good memories and I've had fun times here throughout my life.

Perks are: *endless amount of free parking endless. *The beach is free itself to get on. *Several basketball courts. *Several different playgrounds for the kids. *Long Boardwalk that you can ride bikes on. *They also have bike rental services if you don't feel like bringing your bike. *Food of course is welcome. *They have a grassy areas to if you don't feel like sitting in the sand. *They also have a separate spot with BBQs. *And also plenty of fun sprinklers systems for the kiddies if you do not feel like taking them to the water. *They also have some showers and kind lifeguards.

Cons : *better bathrooms ( but obviously they're not that bad they've changed through the years) *The water could be a bit cleaner but I'm pretty sure it is considered the bay so.....

*Other than that I see no cons it's a decent beach for a good day of relaxation reading tanning places for the kids to...

The 2 1/2 mile promenade and boardwalk is great for walking, running and bike riding.. The facility stretches from Miller Field to Fort Wadsworth that is under the Verrazano bridge. There are plenty of free parking areas available along Father Capadano blvd. There are ample restroom facilities along the boardwalk as are benches. Picnic tables are available nearer Miller field. There are also multiple children's playground areas found primarily near sand lane (nearer the bridge). There are ample deli's off the beach and one good restaurant on the boardwalk. Anew children's amusement park has been constructed at the intersection of Seaview avenue and Father capadano blvd. If you enjoy the outdoors this...

I was at Midland Beach on Staten Island recently. The beach is wide and quiet, and it looks especially nice in the evening when the sun sets and the Brooklyn skyline starts to light up. The water looked clean, and the sand was well kept with almost no trash. There weren’t many people, just families walking or sitting around. I liked the long boardwalk and the open view of the Verrazzano Bridge. The only downside is there isn’t much infrastructure right on the beach, so it’s better to bring what you need. Overall, it’s a good spot if you want some peace and open water without a crowd.

Over the weekend I walked Midland Beach in Staten Island. It’s one of those spots where the city fades: a long boardwalk, wide water views, and a calm, unhurried vibe. The walk is easy—stick to the promenade or drop down closer to the sand. Sunset is the highlight: warm colors across the sky, the water picking up the glow, and you end up staying longer than planned. Noise stays low, mostly wind and small waves. If you want a simple, no-frills route to clear your head, this place nails it. I came for the boardwalk and the sunset—and got exactly that.
