To start, the employees are pretty nice at this location. All I have is a few points to touch on to give (what I believe), is an honest review on this business.
I've gotten a chance to read comments about the employees and the work ethic of the business in general. I figured that I would give you (the reader) a glimpse into my trip to this establishment. So here are a few things that I have read and have seen for myself: before I decided to make my way to this shop, some reading was in order. It was a MOST that the reviews be looked at since I needed to find a good place and these were the things I came across: "Technicians" taking it upon themselves to make alterations to the customers vehicle without asking first, Issues of return customers having to get repairs done after installs/treatment in or on their vehicles, the idea that there is always an upsell situation to get a few more dollars out of the work. These are just a few of the items that I can remember off of the top of my head. So, with that said, I will begin with this. As I walk you through my experience.
First and foremost, it IS true. You will not be asked before any work that may be necessary outside of a reasonable persons expectations, CAN and WILL be done to your vehicle without your consent. I brought my car in and experienced that first hand when a hole was cut in a pocket of my center console without conversing with me about it to find out my opinion. After reading nothing but the 1 star reviews I still figured this to be a one off situation involving maybe 2 to 3 customers out of hundreds (that was not the case and, I was incorrect).
My install seemed to be moving along, as the gentleman that seems to run the shop called me over (here it comes). I was told that a certain cable/piece was needed to install along with my head unit because the one my car already had was not compatible. Now, don't get me wrong, it was only about 30 bucks (according to him), and because it was needed, the idea was that I got a deal on the pricing. So, my $150 install was only $170 now... Cash. D you get charged tax if you use credit/debit.
My car was brought out to me, minus any damage that I had read about in previous posts. Being a bit concerned about the functionality of the my newly installed head unit, I was sure to check out the functions as soon as my car was released to me. I would have paid them and driven off with my new item installed, only having to turn back around. My head unit was unresponsive and did nothing but play the demo that it came with out of the package. Luckily, the gentleman who did the install was in the car with me (I hadn't paid them yet), as I tried to play with my new toy. Surprisingly he looked as perplexed as I was when it didn't work. That told me that he either didn't test the unit after install or was hoping I would leave and have to come back. In that case, it would leave me to be apart of the group of people that got scorned for returning to the scene of the crime called, "poor workmanship". My car was backed up by the "technician" and brought back out about 5 minutes later with operational touch screen intact.
So, my experience was not what you may call a horror story. After a few hours playing with my new head unit, I did go to close my windows, only to find that they no longer work the same anymore. For some strange reason one out three of my windows work without the engine on and one doesn't. When I cut off my stereo, my speakers now pop and I just remembered after grabbing my phone out of the passenger seat that my info, phone pick up/hang-up, and voice command buttons are no longer functional. In the installers defense, he did make sure to let me know when he saw me testing out the unit. This was my experience but hopefully yours may be better. I will get all my quirky new functions repaired eventually, just not at that shop. I feel as valued as my car was during the install.
FYI: The 2 star was because of treatment I got on site, not the work. The work...
Read moreI grew up in Brooklyn and this place was highly recommended to me. Coming here ended up costing me double. In terms of customer service and experience, they are very good people. I never dealt with attitudes or unwillingness to serve. However, the overall quality of the work and the product resulted in this one star review. About a year and a half ago, I brought over my 2008 Nissan Maxima for new HIDs. They looked great and Edwin ended up convincing me to spend a little more to upgrade my fogs to LEDs. It was a pricey trip, but my car looked great. Once I washed my car soon after, I see my fog lights full of water. I came right back and they attempted to "seal" them. Since they don't allow you to enter the garage and see what is done, I have no idea what they did. Ofcourse, that "seal" did not work. I came back two weeks later (mind you, I come from Long Island) and the best that they could tell me was that I needed new fog lights. This did not happen until they changed them to LEDs. After that second trip, I realized that they left the passenger side fog light loose (dangling) and the front passenger wheel liner was dangling with it because one of the pins was not put back. That resulted in my tire intermittently rubbing on the liner and burning a piece off of it. I went to a different place once I saw that the fog lights were getting rusted because of the water. Once the different place pulled everything apart, they found that these LED bulbs did not fit the housing properly and instead of telling me the bad news, that "seal" was put behind the LED bulb to hold it in place. This clay-like "seal" let the water flow right through because the LEDs themselves were never tight. I fixed the wheel liner, changed my fog lights and LEDs at that different place and haven't had issues yet. The one year warranty on the HIDs worked out well for them. One year and two months after the install, the passenger side light went out. Again, I go to a different place and once everything was pulled out, it was found that the connectors for the ballast were corroded because of water entering. I ended up having to replace ballasts and connectors for the HIDs, which damn near costs a whole new kit. We're talking about hundreds of dollars and hours of time wasted within less than two years. I had my OEM HIDs and fog lights last me more than twice as long...
Read more🚨 Worst experience ever — they cracked my brand-new car’s grill and blamed me! 🚨
If I could give ZERO stars I absolutely would. I went to this shop with my brand-new 2025 CRV to get fog lights installed. At first, everything seemed fine — the lights worked. But as soon as I looked closer, I noticed a crack on my front grill. This car is practically off the lot, no scratches, no issues before I brought it here.
When I pointed out the damage, instead of being professional or even checking what happened, the owner and the worker immediately tried to blame me. They actually said it was my fault and accused me of lying, as if I wouldn’t notice a crack on a new car I just bought. Then another man, who claimed to be the second owner, came out and said, “I don’t know why you’re even looking at that car, just tell him to leave.” Imagine paying for a service, having your new car damaged, and then being treated like garbage and dismissed.
That’s exactly how they operate — deny responsibility, insult the customer, and push you out the door. Absolutely unprofessional and dishonest. No respect, no accountability, and definitely no integrity.
If you care about your car, do not bring it here. They will damage it, deny it, and make you feel like the problem. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere reputable, because this place is nothing...
