I've used Medina Hall plenty of times in the past few years. I find this location to be absolutely ideal for many reasons. Its very convenient for everyone to get to. The train is a block away from Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's also near Atlantic Ave, Linden Blvd, Belt parkway and Van Wyck Expressway, The hall is on the first floor with open space. We get the key to decorate in the morning. We never feel rushed coming in or leaving. The price is also very reasonable for this area. Our family and friends guest list is always large so its very difficult to have get togethers at home in New York. My apartment is small and my landlord isn't the easiest guy to deal with when it comes to loud noise, even on the weekends. Its the perfect spot to hold a gathering in the winter or summer. the Ac is ice cold and the heat is very warm. I had my Engagement party in winter 2008. I had my sons baby shower at Medina Hall in July 2010. And my cousin also held her anniversary party here last year. We even rented it many times for our community service programs and meetings on weekdays at great rates. The hall has been significantly upgraded and it needs very little decoration. I love the top notch family friendly service and accommodation we get. We are never disappointed and at the end of the night I always have someone come up to us and ask us about the place. Its very hard to find a place that feels like your own. This hall is a win in my book and I would gladly recommend it to others. -...
Read moreSo, i had my baby shower at Medina Hall on 08/31/18. I paid for the space and got the package where white table covers were included, many of the white table cloths were filthy stained, the only thing that covered it was the table runners. I was so rushed and tired and running out of time i didnt even bother to mention it. On top of everything else something disturbing happened. Many of my guest (embarrassingly) started to complain of roaches in their drinks 😫😩. I myself had a gingerale and when i looked into my cup i saw a roach (i freaked out) the kitchen in the back was filled with roaches, so they were mixed with the ice. So unsanitary and i was sooo devistated and embarassed. In the midst of the party we didnt have time to interrupt our special night for such a thing after paying all that money, although we did mention it to the bar tender he just apologized and kept getting my guest new drinks. I wouldnt book here again, please check your ice and kitchen area for roaches if you book here. This incident shows negligence on behalf of the hall staff....
Read moreThis has got to be Queens’s best kept secret! Had my son's 2nd birthday at the Medina hall last year, May 26, 2011. This place was way above my expectations. This is very much a "Get What you pay For" venue. You rent out the hall and bring outside catering. So, be sure to let the owner know your vision of your affair and provide some sort of time line for your event. The owner Adam was very accommodating to your needs. The Hall is mostly mirrored and glass which make the room look even bigger and is very clean. They have a DJ booth where you can set up the music system. The place and the bathroom were kept clean. Overall, a very nice experience at Medina Hall. It was very convenient. The hours were very flexible. My family and friends had a wonderful time that we even ended up doing my niece's 18th Grad/Birthday Bash the following month. I personally would recommend them if you just want to rent out a space and bring your own outside catering. We had a really great time and never had a problem. Thank You Medina Hall so much for a...
