I really used to love this place. 2 people $90. 2 drinks (1 alcoholic) and 2 meals. No dessert. The service was quick and so was the wait time for the food. Points for that. The waiter was a young man, happy, helpful and respectful. He took the order, made recommendations and described the drinks in a manner that made you want to order them all. Points for him! Negative points for me for not getting his name. Now for the food and drinks. I noticed the Peruvian corn known as canchas, were not on the table as usual, they weren't in the menu and weren't offered by the waiter. I figured since it's always free maybe they forgot. I asked the man if he could bring some out and he told me that it would cost $1. I was shocked and disappointed but said yes because they're nice to snack on while waiting for the food. The canchas were brought out in a small plastic container where you would normally put ketchup or some other condiment, you can see it briefly on the right side of my video. $1 for barely 20 pieces of corn when usually it's free felt like a scam. I felt robbed before I even got my food. Punto negativo for the whole restaurant for that. 👎🏼 I ordered a mojito and although they threw a ENTIRE VINE with the mint attached you could not taste the mint. It barely had alcohol, I think the lack of taste left me more sober than I was after drinking it.

Food part. Portion size GREAT, appearance GREAT. I love the avocado touch they added, but just add it in instead of telling me you're gonna charge me more for it, this isn't Chipotle. I was starving and finished the whole dish but I hate when I can tell that they changed the chef or that feeling of it not being like it used to. The meat was soft and tender but it just lacked taste and felt a bit dry. I wondered what happened to the juice that helps incorporate the meat with the fries and rice. Its just not the same.

The other plate from my girlfriend was the same 3 star quality. With a random piece of lettuce to fill in the gap so you wouldn't notice the portion was much smaller.

Overall 6.7/10 I wouldn't recommend because the price is WAY TOO HIGH for what we got. For $90 I could feed 2 families just from ordering 2 family meals from their menu. Also, Don Pollo it's the little things that matter. Put back the complimentary canchas, put the radio on in the area where the booths in the back are, give the waiter a uniform to wear, and don't let him drink out of the gallon of juice at the front desk. Im glad I didn't...

The place has changed a bit. I’m 90% certain it’s under new management, and new cooks. The decor has improved drastically, and the outdoor area is much nicer. However, it’s the food that saddens me. The chicken with the “spicy” cream sauce (Ocopa) was terrible. There was no seasoning whatsoever. No hint of salt or spicy ness. The chicken was dry. The potatoes were bland. The dish wasn’t even luke warm. The Tallarin Verde with steak was good but was better before. Once again the pasta was luke warm and the steak was over cooked and not even seasoned. The pasta with the green sauce was the saving grace for the 2 stars. Also, I don’t know why they’re plating a giant lettuce leaf under the protein. It’s literally hanging off the plate soggy and then it touches the table..use to love coming here weekly. Now sadly it’s nothing but a good memory of what it use to be. Hopefully the other locations haven’t...

If I could give a 0, I would. Went for dinner on Easter, only 2 other tables occupied. The day's drinks were listed on a blackboard but server returned twice to tell me they were unable to make the drink ordered each time. Finally had to ask what they could make and order a margarita that just tasted like a cherry slushie. My partner and I ordered but only his order arrived. Wait staff was oblivious and did not return to the table. Finally got someone's attention to ask about my order which appeared to not have been entered. My partner finished his meal and I ended up asked to cancel my order that NEVER ARRIVED. The male server finally came back and tried to say, YET AGAIN, there was a problem in the kitchen and tried to offer a dessert at this point. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND NO ONE OFFERED APOLOGIES FOR WHAT OCCURRED. NEVER...

Felt for Peruvian food today, and lucky me, we have one very right here in Rockaway Blvd... i was happy because i didnt feel like driving out today...so we ventured in our own town. The food was amazing, everything was delicious! My favorite was the jalea mixta! Freshly fried seafood with fried yuca so yummy! The owner of the store came over to our table and checked on us made sure everything was to our liking and gave me a fun fact, he mentioned that the passion fruit in my drink was from his home country and it was freshlymade by him..! That's made me enjoyed it even more... I highly recommend the food here. Not forget the waitress who served us, she was so kind, always smiling, and very sweet..so go, get your Peruvian food on!
