POPnGAMES — Attraction in New York

Honest Opinion: So I went to PopnGames all the way from the Bronx because I was checking to find stores that sell classics and I so happened to find PopnGames on Google and I was so excited to go until I was a bit disappointed about the price sells on the games. You could find many classics in this store along by collectibles and special edition items but for the most popular titles it would sell for 20$ for each popular title that you choose to buy which adds up if you grab 4 or more games about 4 games would add up to 100$ which was a bit disappointing to me because I was thinking about grabbing 10 games or more but 20$ for each popular title was way too much. In my opinion I would consider trying to find a good price on eBay depends on how popular the game is but overall it was fun stepping into a store that reminds me of my childhood you should check out this store but based on the price sells if you’re looking for a cheap price on classics my advice is to find a bargain on eBay which I should consider you on doing which is something I should had done but if you’re looking for a store and you can’t find a great price on eBay I could consider you to go to this store because this store has what you’re looking for from Sega Genesis PS2 PS3 PS4 a little low on the PSP platform but has a bunch of games to choose from Nintendo Switch/All Nintendo Platforms I should say PS Vita and so much more also about the customer service I was asked to be a member of the store so that I could get discounts which reminds me of GameStop and... I just didn’t know what to say because I grabbed a whole lot of games total amount was (150$) for the wrestling games I grabbed and pre owned PSP games that didn’t come with the gaming case/cover for it NBA STREET for PS2 pre owned not brand new God Of War PS2 greatest hits disc only and Far Cry Compilation PS3 Brand NEW (SMACKDOWN VS RAW) (I saw the red cover on the shelf but he didn’t give me the greatest hits disc for it) I thought spending over 50$ you get discount or a gaming T-Shirt and I got none of the above also about (SMACKDOWN VS RAW) when I took a look at the disc in the front detail it has scratches so I basically paid about (12-20$) for it I mean it’s not greatest hits and it’s scratch and it’s still pricey I would had gotten more games to...

I Bought Doom 3 BFG Edition Brand New Factory Sealed for the PlayStation 3 console from POP n' GAMES and instead i ended up receiving a used copy that was resealed...The outside plastic of the games case was pierced yet the plastic that seals the game was not it was in perfect condition, The instruction manual had some sort of dry up liquid substance on it, The Doom 3 game disk was not only loose but whoever resealed this game closed the case shut on the game disk so when they resealed the game...the disk was sticking out of the case...so even tho it was loose because it wasn't in the disk holder It was still held regardless from moving because the case was shut on the disk. After I got in contact with POP N' GAMES requesting a refund explaining everything exactly the way I'm explaining it right now. His response was "I dont reseal my games I've been doing this for years" I said it doesn't change the fact. it's still a resealed game weather you resealed it or your staff did it or if you bought it from some kid and then chose to sell it on Ebay it's a resealed game Next time examine the item carefully before you ship it out or before you put it up for sell. His response was " I check the games before it's send out being I'm the one who's ships it out and it can't be a resealed game because the seal on the plastic of the game is a Y-Fold " Like dude do you know how stupid you sound they have plastics you can order and machines to seal games that can do Y-Folds. Anyway so after he's done arguing with me he decides to finally send we the return label and agrees to give me a full refund...but not without him getting the last word in lol which was the best part yet! What he said and I quote " I going to refund you your money back but I want to know if the game is still sealed" Lmfao what a joke I'm never ordering from your dumbass again. The worst part about all this is that I have to give at least a 1 star just to leave a review...

POPnGames! Definitely one of the better stores in the New York City area. I visit pretty frequently as they have very kind staff, a clean and an organized environment, and a pretty decent selection of games. One of my favorite parts of the store is the fact that they have plenty and plenty of sealed copies stashed in the back room for pretty fair prices. I’ve managed to find some pretty good deals from them every now and then, but sometimes I struggle to find a new game to add to the collection (as their stock consists of a lot of common titles). I’m a collector, so that problem pertains to me more than anyone else, however I sometimes do wish they had more hidden gems or sought after items. I’m not big into figures or statues, but from what I’ve seen they had a good selection up for sale for those interested in them. Also, trade-In values are somewhat low compared to other stores but it’s understandable as they’re very selective as to the kinds of games they want and the condition that they’re in. As long as you understand what you’re getting yourself into, you should have a great experience at POPnGames!

Hospitality: 8/10 Space and cleanliness: 10/10 More for casuals or collectors? Both, but easier for casual gamers to find stuff. Affordability: 7/10. Pretty fair prices, but low trade-in value
