Went something like this: -Hey babe, I'm hungry, let's call cherry valley. -Really, it's not the same anymore. -What? It's cherry valley! (I should have listened)
-(ring, ring) Hi, can I place an order...blah blah, can I pay with my card. -We don't take cards over the phone, you have to order online, grubhub seamless whatever.
Okay.. so I proceed to download the app, place the order, call cherry valley because I live 5 blocks away, no way the 90 minute wait at 11pm on a Thursday is accurate. -Yes, we got your order. Give it about 45 min. -Great, thanks!
So I call 50 minutes in... -He left already, guy is in traffic.

Read moreDid Cherry Valley switch owners? The quality of the food and the love put into it is not the same. All the prices of sandwiches have gone up about 3 bucks. A hero is about $13. They stopped using real chicken in their sandwiches & now use chicken Pattie’s that look worse than school lunch meat quality. They’re extremely salty too. Changes the taste of the sandwich. Last 4x I’ve gone over the past year or so I thought maybe the regular chef isn’t in, maybe they ran out of chicken cutlets, maybe I’m coming when the B team is in, maybe they’re just having a bad day. Nope, this is their new norm. I’m truly sad. Been coming here for 2 decades. I’m very sad that they’ve skimped on quality to put even more $$ in their pockets than their already getting from the menu price increases. It’s the end of an era. I threw my salty cheap chicken sandwich in the trash. my family will no longer be going back. I can’t justify spending that amount for what we’re getting. If management has changed or new owners came in, just know you’ve changed what made cherry valley the special place it is that has brought generations of customers to you. If the owners are the same, things need improvement,...
Read moreI've been eating cherry valley my entire life, like anyone else who grew up in Queens. The only things worth ordering anymore are egg sandwiches and cold cut sandwiches. The quality of their chicken cutlets have gone down to an unacceptable level. Couldn't take more than one bite, i can't even describe it. Its not rubbery, it almost snaps off, i dont know what it is but it doesnt have the consistency of an actual chicken cutlet. Also, i had ordered their turkey burgers a few times in the past and they were never great, but never awful. I ordered a turkey burger with cheese last night, and could not take more than 3 bites. They changed the brand of the patties, and now they are a rubbery mess. Very disappointed in the lack of quality, especially in the chicken cutlets, which are a vital part of their best sandwiches. If someone assures me that they went back to using a higher quality chicken cutlet, I'd be happy to return and improve the rating and review. Side note, the dark-haired girl they had working there with the attitude problem seems to no longer work there, for anyone who had experienced terrible customer service from her. So...
