Select Roses has been off of the Bruckner in The Bronx forever and they have just recently become my go to spot for flowers.
I don’t know why, I have never thought to come here in the past. Maybe it’s because when I think to purchase flowers it is usually last minute. However with some thought and the proper organizing of my schedule I have planned my flower needs accordingly and Select Roses has come in clutch.
When you walk in, it is nothing fancy, you can walk directly into the flower fridge at the back and pick your flowers yourself. They are all arranged and organized by price points. Once you have selected the flowers of your choosing any one of the employees will usher you over to a table and arrange, cut, and wrap your flowers to your liking. However I must admit everyone does a great job and you really don’t have to give any direction. They all literally have an “eye” for it.
Everytime I go, I leave thinking this is the best arrangement yet, but that’s only until my next visit.
Great place to grab flowers at very reasonable prices.
Just A Note:
Depending on what you pick and how you split them to be arranged you can literally get two very nice arrangements for the...
Read moreI stopped by today just to check it out for my wedding later this summer and the staff was nasty. I walked in and no recognition, I figured it's a cheap place for flowers probably not the place to expect stellar customer service but this was just plain rude. I asked a gentleman about pricing, he looked annoyed and grunted responses to me. Then I made one tiny selection so I can just come home and get some inspiration. I waited in the area where I saw people doing transactions again no recognition, nothing, and when I asked the one guy skiing nothing if I was waiting on the right area he, like the other guy, annoyed said that as soon as the other guys were done they'd take care of me and walked away to just rest on his elbows at his work area. I just walked out without buying anything and will gladly pay high prices elsewhere. If you're so annoyed with me...a non-demanding client...I'm ok with spending my...
Read more"Today, February 14th, I went to buy flowers for my wife, but the experience was very disappointing. The wait was long, and to make matters worse, they didn't have any more red roses. The available flowers were already wilted, as can be seen in the photo I posted. Additionally, the prices were exorbitant. I think it wasn't worth the wait. It would have been better to buy from any other florist. The poor quality and price don't justify the wait. If I had known the prices were so high and they wouldn't have red roses, I wouldn't have gone to that florist. Very bad experience. However, I don't think the place is bad, but I wouldn't recommend shopping there on February 14th. It seems to be the worst day to visit...
