It's a very old looking bridge, with automobile traffic prioritized above all other traffic. There is no dedicated bike lane, however there should be considering you have to dodge the cyclists unwilling to slow down who insist on you moving out of the way. There isn't much really protecting pedestrians either, nothing more than a 4 inch raised curb. NYC DOT could do better on...

They sure spent a lot of time and money doing a bad job building a new bridge. Not only is a not a pretty as the old one, but they didn't run the water line correctly.

It still sits unfinished...

Oh yeah, and the temporary bridge that they built before replacing the old one collapsed so you know the job was done right on...
