Manager Nigel was ONLY good when the store first opened and he got a large appliance order from us. Now - in two years, it’s just another bad HD. Was there on a Sunday anfternoon and they had two “greeters” but ONE PERSON helping people. The people at “customer anti-service” were too busy talking to call someone. Then I had to resort to calling their phone number from INSIDE THE STORE - to be hung up on three times. Went to the garden area week of 4/23/25 and it was dry out for a couple of weeks. The majority of plants were dead. Tried to get the attention of another two - who were talking about “takeout”. They refused to water plants and this was there reason; “THEY PAY PEOPLE TO WATER”. Really? WHO??? Isn’t that your job garden workers? Isn’t this inventory with value??? So the manager NIGEL obviously would rather shake you down for appliance orders than pay attention to the thousands of $$$ of LIVING things left to die when they clearly have enough employees DOING NOTHING to pick up a hose and WATER!. I have never seen a store go from great to bad in such a short time. They refused to handle the ever increasing issue with people aggressively looking for work IN THE PARKING LOT who would actually STICK their hands into your shopping carts while you’re walking to your car. Per the cops - this is a STORE THING and yet another thing Nigel AND HIS TEAM does not do. Bad manager. You have other areas in the store besides high end appliances which we bought 6 OF SINCE THEY OPENED. But the person selling these NEVER mentioned that they have new rules now about installation, so I’m assuming she was never even told. We got the finger from their “delivery specialists”, twice. Instead of solutions - I have to go in there YET ANOTHER TIME TO RESOLVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. They want the sales but that’s it. After this, you are on YOUR OWN. I HAVE TEXTS TO THIS ISSUE. Also - look at the responses to the reviews. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO taking responsibility for what they do wrong. These are written to ABSOLUTELY NOT TAKE complaints seriously. How about “we will fix this, look into this or this is unacceptable and we ARE SORRY”????? NOTE: response to the “owner”. EVEN WEB LINK DOES NOT “WORK”. Joke Update AGAIN today is 5/8. Went in because I was pushed off to yet another person to fix the NO INSTALLATION because of NYC policy - they won’t work on old houses - BUT HD TAKES YOUR $$$. As usual no one in appliances……. I tried to stop two people 5/7/25 and one was kind enough to come back to help me BUT - VERONICA who IGNORED ME - RUDELY interrupted my time with Jose C, leaned OVER ME WHILST I WAS SPEAKING TO HIM - and when I said “you are being incredibly rude considering that you WALKED PAST ME AND IGNORED ME while I was looking for help”. Then she got really nasty and said “IM SPEAKING TO HIM”. She also should not judge a person by their skin color and think they don’t speak Spanish cause I HEARD HER CALL ME RACIST NAMES I CANNOT PRINT HERE!! Nice way to treat a customer who bought 6 major appliances in less than two years. But NIGEL does not give a crap - PER THE MULTIPLE WORKERS I SPOKE TO TODAY. Apparently, most people are sick of how this store declined...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW - My instinct told me to come back to this Home Depot as it compares favorably to others where you are made to wait in specialty departments, usually in vain as nobody comes after being paged. I asked one employee if there was anybody who could assist with a special order on a Sunday afternoon when most 1800 customer service phone departments are closed. The kind employee paged and not only did I get a staff member, a very kind and well-informed Assistant Manager named Nigel approached. I was treated like family as Nigel was honest, transparent, did not make promises he could not keep. I left knowing I was not being hustled and more importantly he knew his craft- the knowledge being imparted in a manner that was always respectful and true to business ethics, a phrase that has become oxymoronic in nature as of late. Thank you Nigel.
OLD REVIEW: I was not going to give this location five stars as management seemed to depend too much of the self-checkout registers (that take jobs away from people) while there was only one cashier who worked her head off with grace, initiative and boundless energy. That cashier named Ashley was - by far- the nicest and most assiduous employee I have ever encountered. While she assumed her role as cashier with incredible efficiency, she also took it upon herself to assist those in the self-checkout areas. A person that valuable should be making much more than those who simply do not care about their job, company they represent and or clients they serve. Ashley is the sole reason I leave this five star review and I trust her superiors will formally recognize her attributes and exemplary work ethic in a time when the nation is having a hard time finding employees let alone high-quality individuals.
This is my Home Depot from now on. ...

I have spent more than eight hours on the phone trying to track down and schedule an installation of a storm door I ordered at the beginning of June. There has been zero communication or accountability from the store or Home Depot about this situation.
I ordered a storm door at the beginning of June. It was scheduled to be ready at the beginning of July. When I hadn't heard anything the 3rd week of July I started calling to find out what the problem was. Apparently they had to re-order the door at the end of June (no notice of this or explanation was given for the reorder). They then stated they were waiting for the re-ordered door to come in. I called two days later to ask another associate about the door and they said that it just came in two days ago. I asked why no one called me to say the door came in and they said they sent an email (they didn't). I called the installation subcontractor who only works with Home Depot to schedule the install. According to their records the door should have been shipped to their warehouse and that it would be a $75 fee for them to pick up the door. I called Home Depot and they wouldn't admit a mistake had been made and told me to take it up with the construction company. They said they had no information about the door other than that it was buried in their warehouse and had been there for 3 weeks. They also said they didn't have any of my information so they didn't know who to contact about the door even though they knew which door was mine. I used to love this store but this lack of communication is unacceptable. Think twice when considering buying anything special order...
