Brand new to the mini mall here in maspeth on Maurice Avenue. Did we need another Asian restaurant in the neighborhood probably not but it is appreciated because the food is served differently. Let's start with the protein offered our beef shrimp chicken followed by your carbs rice noodles, dumplings and yes the one thing that's missing is vegetables. This is not traditional Japanese cooking so don't come here expecting a Japanese tradition dinner or for lunch. It still is a fast food place. So the very first day it opened up approximately 2 months ago I went in and I was basically yelled at by the lady at the glasses that was described by somebody else tall Asian woman who was on the register. I kind of figured maybe she had a hearing impediment and therefore that's why she yelled when she spoke. She did not seem to understand me fully when I was asking her which was what was the price of a side of chicken. Because she seemed to become frustrated with me asking her and her not understanding and I became frustrated with me continuously repeating myself I just said forget about it. The next time I ventured I came across the same Asian lady with the glasses I believe the glasses were black I have to register and I noticed that there was a limited time offer for the chicken teriyaki bowl at $7.99 however it was also on the regular menu for more. So I asked what is the difference between the two she said no difference. I asked well how can you offer it for $7.99 versus the regular price? See with her loud voice and tone said no difference same thing and I just truly wanted her to clarify whether or not an egg roll come with the one that's offered for $9 and some change or more chicken or more protein and she kept saying what do you mean. So once again she did not understand what I was asking and this time she turned to one of the staff workers and it was a shorter Asian woman who said to me that it is a limited time offer but the price is less for the same thing I would receive at $9. You see how that's much more simpler to understand is what I thought. Just explain that so this way I wouldn't have to hear her yell at me as if I'm saying something that is not comprehendible. It makes things so frustrating. Is this and ask her to please stop yelling at the customers when she is repeating the order or asking for the order and if she does not clearly understand what's being asked maybe you need to put somebody on the front at the cash register who does. The male staff members who were cooking were okay however I do believe there's a cold that if you're working in a kitchen area you're supposed to cover your hair with a net I'll check into that by the department of health but I know this constantly the short guy with the tattoos he kept running his hand through his hair moving it out of his face. This is not acceptable. I will certainly inform him the next time I come to the restaurant to eat. The food was okay. As far as the establishment once again it is a brand new place so yes we're going to expect it to be clean and neat I just hope they keep up with that. However as quickly as I am saying this I noticed that the bathroom is not kept up the par for had it been there would be no reason why there was a pool of water on the floor near the toilet and the sink. The Bathroom should be maintained especially with covid still lurking at least every 2 hours by someone on staff. This water on the floor can cause for a hazardous condition. I'm looking forward to the improvements...
Read moreI went into Teriyaki one when I visited Home Depot. I have NEVER been in one before so I chose to give them a try! My first impression was good, the counter was clean with everything convenient. They had a very large screen television with all the menu items listed clearly. I ordered my Shrimp Bento Box that came with a small salad 3 fried chicken dumplings two vegetable spring rolls. You also had a choice of white rice of fried rice didnt look if charhed differently. I don't know what they put on the salad for dressing but to me I very much enjoyed the flavor. The person putting together my meal was quick and accurate. The menu is somewhat limited on the sushi rolls but what i saw and had, I'm sure I...

The ambiance is superb. Bright lights, sizzling meat, late 90s/early 2000s country music playing over the speakers, cookstaff shouting at you. Maspeth, New York is, as they say, Hometown America.
I recommend people of all states and nations visit this beautiful establishment. And bring your children to build...
