The staff was amazing. Our family really enjoyed themselves and the stay was extremely comfortable. The staff went beyond our expectations and really made sure that everything was safe for us and our newborn. The front end staff Brian, Hannah and Micheal displayed the most exceptional customer service we have had in a long time. The housekeepers Ruth, Toni & Carlos made sure our room was well maintained and clean for us and our little one. And every morning we were greeted with a smile and Good Morning from the breakfast staff Bruna and Kelly. It was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The bed were so comfortable. The bathroom was also amazing the shower was walk in making it so much easier to get in and out the water temperature and pressure were excellent. And the breakfast was amazing like having a Breakfast Buffet with various things to select from. Best thing you don’t need to look anywhere your well taken care of and if something runs out by the time you make it the staff is so pleasant and willing to make sure everything is top quality and accessible. From the real cooked oatmeal with various additives to select from the fresh made pancakes machine ,pastries, and various eggs styles and bacon , sausage or Turkey sausage , cereals for the kiddos you you won’t be disappointed. The juice selection is even great. Oh and I can not for get the Cinnabuns they were extremely exceptional. Fresh fruit. Oh I think I covered most but there even still more selections. The soaps , shampoo and conditioner in the shower amazing as well (Dove). I really couldn’t think of anything other then parking at night is a bit difficult so it’s probably better to make sure your parked before evening to have a parking spot cause it can get tricky. I did miss out on our points but that might been because of some issues with the IHG system and two name on the room. But all and all this is the spot to stay no quest soon hands down. You will enjoy and if you get hungry I suggest you walk over to the Home Depot plaza try the Smashburger , Japanese One and the cute bakery in between them has amazing fresh fruit smoothies you will not be...
Read moreGood afternoon, this Friday I called to confirm my reservation after booking my room over a month ago to find out on Valentine’s Day that my room I booked and paid for was no longer available. Nobody had called and let me know for the last month that the hotel was doing renovations and that the room I was promised would no longer be available. I was promised a room with a king sized bed and a jacuzzi tub in the room as well. After calling the day of I was told that that room was no longer available and to find hotel accommodations else where even though it was the day of my stay and on Valentine’s Day...the day most hotels are booked solid. I was never told about the renovations nor was I even given a heads up about the room change. We chose this hotel mainly for that accommodation alone and were still charged the same price for the room we did not get. To top it all off management was no help and got defensive when they were caught in a lie about the whole thing. Staff only tried to rush me off the phone along with being rude to me after I continued to keep my composure and be nothing but patient and kind about the situation. I do believe I should have been helped more instead of management telling me to cancel my reservation the day of and look for a different hotel. I am a rewards member of this hotel and am very sad that I had to spend my Valentine’s Day on the phone with customer service for hours with no solution in sight. I understand the holiday can be busy for the hotel, but as a paying and returning customer I expected more and was completely saddened and let down. Although I typically love your hotels and enjoy my stay, I don’t know if I could ever return after the lack of caring and rudeness I experienced within this trip. I am saddened and extremely surprised with the situation I had to endure on a day that was supposed to be care free and filled...
Read moreLet me get started by saying this hotel is not perfect for tourists visiting New York. It is around 1 hour on public transit (buses/subway), or a 20/30 minute drive. If you're willing to travel in, however, it is a great place. I personally prefer staying just outside of cities to get a real true sense of atmosphere and it lets my indulge in more local activities.
The hotel is located next to the highway, however noise was not a problem for me. The only noise that was a problem was actually from the car park whereby people would often stand around talking etc. This usually stopped by around 11:30pm though.
The room was great and has what you need. A nice, comfortable bed. A clean bathroom with a shower that works and has a good range of temperatures. The hairdryer in the room wasn't overly top notch, but that is too be expected and it appeared to be a pretty common hotel hairdryer.
Check-in was quick, with the WI-FI password being given to me without the need to be asked for. WI-FI was pretty fast for Facebook browsing etc, however at peak periods (during the evening) it did get slow and would on occasion completely lose connection. I did try to download a program that was 358mb and it would have taken 7 hours to download. Not great, as usually it takes me seconds.
Value for money was relatively good, however be sure to check around for the best price. I didn't and unfortunately was caught out by that.
Overall, though it was a great stay and I would definitely return and recommend...
