Review for The Parking Port JFK – Extremely Disrespectful and Unprofessional Experience If I could leave, no stars -5 stars I would. This is going to be a long one. I recently left my car at The Parking Port JFK for a four-day vacation, and unfortunately, this was one of the most stressful and unpleasant customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. Upon arrival, the parking attendant attempted to charge me an additional fee, claiming my vehicle was an SUV. My car is a small, compact vehicle, and clearly not an SUV. When I pointed this out, he laughed in my face and argued with me in a very disrespectful manner. Despite knowing I was being wrongly charged, I still paid the fee just to avoid further conflict. The situation escalated even further when I returned to pick up my car. I arrived before the scheduled pickup time, as shown in the screenshot of my reservation, yet the same attendant tried to charge me again—this time claiming I had arrived late. Once more, he laughed in my face, this time in front of my three children. He even went so far as to dangle my car keys in front of me and stated he wouldn’t return them. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, but he refused, saying no one was available. I requested a phone number to file a complaint, which he also refused to provide. Instead, he continued to mock me, adding even more insult to the situation. Feeling intimidated and unsafe as a woman alone with my children in the middle of the night, I ultimately called the police. Only after I mentioned that law enforcement had been contacted did the attendant finally hand over my keys. To make matters worse, the shuttle service from this lot does not drop you directly at the terminal, which is misleading and highly inconvenient. This experience was completely unacceptable. The staff—especially the attendant I dealt with—was rude, unprofessional, and intentionally confrontational. I would never return to this business and strongly urge others to avoid it as well. Do not trust this place with your vehicle, your time, or your safety.

OUR CAR NEEDS A WHOLE NEW BUMPER AFTER THIS PLACE Entrusted them with our car for 4 days while my husband and I were on vacation, only to come back to find the bumper of our car completely damaged. (Mind you, we took a video of our car on their lot before we had left and our bumper was very much in an undamaged state) My husband showed the video footage of our car to the guy at the front desk to show him how our car looked like before we had left it in their care and this guy just acts like he can care less. The look on his face looks like he knows exactly what happened. No apology, no assistance of any kind, nothing. The guy at the front desk proceeds to tell my husband that he doesn’t need our video footage and needs to confirm on CCTV what happened before they can do anything. We were told that we would get a phone call before 2 pm the next day, so we drove out of the state New York to head back home, hoping to get that call the next day. Next day rolls around, it’s 2 pm, and there’s no call still. My husband decides to call them himself and when he does, he cannot get through BECAUSE THEY BLOCKED HIS NUMBER. So he tries dialing *67 and calls them again, and someone picks up this time. My husband asks what the status update is on the situation and is told that the manager isn’t in so they can’t do anything. We call again the next day, and they tell us the same thing. Every time we kept calling, we were told the same old, lame story. Almost 3 months later, and we have given up. We have not been reimbursed for the damage that they caused. It’s upsetting that we will have to be paying out of our own pockets to get our bumper fixed. The way that these people run their establishment is very concerning. Dishonest. Shady. I can go on. They outta be ashamed of themselves. Please do me a favor, and avoid this awful place at all costs.

DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR HERE: Additional fees, Hidden Fees, Delayed Shuttles (You might miss your flight), Careless Parking- See explanation below. Additional Fees: All SUVs no matter the size have to pay an additional fee in CASH ONLY from what I was told, so if you don’t have the extra you might get turned away, then your whole trip is out of the window. Careless Parking: When we arrived from the shuttle our car had the keys in the ignition, running with the windows down. If your car is worth over 6K I wouldnt take the chance of it getting stolen. This is an easy target for theft from random criminals or even someone on your shuttle who sees an opportunity. This parking lot is not in the best area. Delayed Shuttle: They will tell you that the shuttle comes every 15mins, but it last more like 45mins+ and can be very uncertain. This alone could cause you to miss your flight, so be ready to get an UBER once that 15min mark hits and the shuttle still hasn’t arrived. Even if the shuttle arrives at the same time as your UBER the UBER is still the best bet bc the shuttle does not drop you off at your terminal (SEE BELOW) Hidden Fees: Shuttle drop off point is at Federal Circle so you’ll have to take the air train to your terminal. The shuttle driver will ask you for an additional $20 if you’d like to be dropped off at your exact terminal. At that point you might as well take an UBER for a more efficient ride for a similar price. Their price isn’t worth the difficulty and with the additional/hidden fees you might as well spend your money at a more reputable company.

AVOID THIS LOT AT ALL COSTS!! I know the price is very enticing however, this lot is the definition of "you get what you pay for". I found this lotion groupon and with the additional discount through groupon, it costs me $47 and some change. I should've known that price was too good to be true. When we arrived at the lot I knew I'd have to pay for an extra day as the groupon was only for 7 days and my car would be parked for 8. There's a sign up that says daily parking $5.70 (or something close to that) but somehow I ended up paying an additional $60 after he charged all of his made up fees. He claimed it was because I have an SUV (Infiniti QX50) i had to pay an upchsrge for the days I already prepaid ans $20 for the extra day. Idek how he came up with those fees because he never explained and I didnt have time to argue or look for another lot. While boarding the dirty shuttle we encountered other customers that experienced the same issue. They also informed us that we couldn't be taken directly to our gate because of construction they would have to take us to the airtran. None of this was in the fine print when purchasing the groupon and the attendant was very matter of fact and unconcerned with my questions.

Once we returned from our 10 hour flight, I called the company, after claiming our bags, to us up and was told to call back once we reached federal circle on the airtrain. That took about 8 mins. I called back and was told the driver would call once he arrived, I asked for an ETA and was told 15-20 mins. 30 mins later still no call, no driver so I called back and was again told the driver would called when he arrives. I asked how long as we'd already been waiting 30 mins in the rain and cold and was told about 5 mins and that we could wait inside the station until he arrived. 15 mins after that call the driver finally called asking where we were, in a aggressive tone. I explained we were waiting inside as we were instructed by the office since it was cold and raining. He began the rush, telling me we needed to hurry up before he gets a ticket. I told him he has no right to rush us after we waited for a ride that was only supposed to take 15-20 mins. Once we got on the van after being told to help him put the bags in the car, we began to converse with other passengers and again realized they had to same experience. The driver heard us talking and said "why didn't you take an uber" We were all in shock that he would even make that statement. Everyone in the van began to tell him how r terrible the service was and how bad his attitude was when we were the ones being inconvenienced. I will NEVER use this lot again. I don't care how good the rate is. Service is terrible, hidden fees, dirty...

These people are THIEVES. They double charged my card instantly upon trying to book long term parking in May. I called to have to resolved and not only did the person on the phone not know what I was talking about, but I was given a run around for 3 days about talking to someone named Jason — and every time I called back at the time I was told to call back for him, he was conveniently not there nor did he ever call me like I was told he would. I gave up trying to talk to them, and told them to just cancel the entire reservation as I didn’t feel confident in leaving my car there is they couldn’t even manage their website or customer service accordingly. They couldn’t verify any of my information or my booking by the time I called back the last time. I completely quit on them and disputed the charge with the bank. Now - almost a full month later - they are telling my bank that they are not within their rights to recover my money even though I never parked there and have proof that I was never there to utilize their service. Do not only do they have money that they weren’t entitled to to begin with, but they’ve also stolen from me. Save your money. Save your breath and park anywhere else.

Edit as of 7/21: it’s been a month since I posted posted the initial comment and exactly 2 months since the original funds were taken. Still no resolution. No Jason, and I even called for Sam who responded to the original comment. Nothingggggg. They have told my bank that I’m not within my rights to recover my funds. They did not respond to the claim placed on BBB. Their email isn’t even real. Like the literal copy and paste email from their receipt. For what it’s worth… I didn’t use a 3rd party website lol. Their customer service is nothing short of treacherous

Edit as of 11/6: STILL no resolution. I’m trying to make a point here. This place prides itself on stealing from people who work hard for their money. I’ll continue to update til I get my refund. 😂

Edit as of 11/13/2024: Still no money back. They hang up every time I call because I request to speak to the same person. My proof is on me still screenshots were...
