Third Street is a gem of a playground in Prospect Park, located off 3rd Street and Prospect Park West. Amazing. In fact while all the other people are sweating it out amidst the chaos at the huge 9th Street playground, parents in the know are relaxing at Third Street. The playground layout is a large, bench-lined circle with several play structures, tire swings, a circle sandbox and two water features all in the middle. This park is not bad. I wish public bathrooms were somewhere around here and open but I guess to be expected on Christmas. My 5 year old son loves the park and doesn’t want to leave so I think he rates it 5 stars....
