This place isn't horrible. We like their food a lot and this place was our go to for breakfast in the morning. I particularly enjoy their sandwiches - good stuff! However, there is this one girl who answers the phone sometimes when we place our order. I'm not sure why it is difficult for her to follow directions or practice basic human decency. I don't know what her name is because she doesn't give it, which tells you a lot about her professionalism and accountability. I know working in food service is a fast-paced environment, especially since this location is always busy.
It is a shame, however, because I really don't think she can handle this pressure and she gives a poor representation of an otherwise wonderful bagel place. Maybe it's not much to lose our business, but we won't be coming back until either some re-training has occurred or perhaps a new person answering the phones.
Sometimes there is another girl and she is very kind! Maybe her attitude can rub off on...
Read moreMy experience last Friday was abominable. I was on my lunch break craving a salad and walked a block from my teaching job. It was confusing where one should order a salad. I went to the salad bar section and the older gruff man told me to go wait on the line by the cashier and order there. So, I got a black coffee and returned to the salad bar as the man was finishing another's sald. I waited for about 5 minutes as 5-7 employees passed by looking at me. I waited for the man to come back and instead he started calling out by the cashier who was next. I said I was by the salad bar. He asked me why I was there. I said because that is what you told me to do, order by the cashier and come back to him. He said that doesn't make sense, nobody is here. I said I was waiting for him to return. He scoffed at me and nastily asked what can I get you? I said nothing. Nothing from you. Hey, if you're sick of your job, quit. You've made all the money you need...
Read moreToday I was having a bad day. I’m 6 months pregnant and had to get a test at the hospital across the street where you can’t eat anything and then you drink a sugary drink and they draw your blood 4 times, once every hour. It wasn’t fun and I also had to run back and forth across the street each hour to try to get my ultrasound appt in between blood draws. Afterwards I was feeling terrible and starving, was sweating like I might faint, so I was going to grab a quick egg and cheese at this bagel place. One of the nice guys working there asked if I was ok and noticed I didn’t feel good and gave me a cookie while I waited for my sandwich. It really made me feel so much better. I texted my husband that the bagel place takes better care of me than the hospital. Thank you to that nice man that turned my day around 🩷 My egg and cheese sandwich and coffee were also delicious and arrived quickly. I...
