This place could be a 5 star as the rooms and building are very nice. $512.00 for two 50 minute aromatherapy massages certainly makes you think they you will have a 5 star service but that is not the case with this establishment. Attention to fundamental detail is missing. The dry sauna apparently is on a timer. In preparing for my massage I entered the dry sauna to discover that the sauna was off; hence a warm sauna not hot/ far from the 165 normally experienced. The steam sauna was good! I then went into the hot tub to find the temperature more like a hotel pool area sauna temperature; it was 102, that is what the attendant mentioned. I told him about the the dry sauna and he said sorry and that he could turn it on (but we know how long it takes for dry saunas to heat up). As for the hot tub he said they don’t like the water hot. He could not turn it to 104, heat a typical spa tub would be.
Hot teas service- it was cold as the candle keeping it hot was burned out.
Dirty glass doors when I arrived and still dirty when I left.
The jar that holds hair combs was missing sanitation liquid.
My massage was good. The massage room was comfortable. Generally staff nice.
But the Marriott Camelback and it the Phoenician in Scottsdale are head and shoulders above this place. If you are in the area of this spa and money is not important...
Read moreI am beyond disappointed. I bought a living social deal and scheduled a couple's message. Well, I found out today that they told me I scheduled it for Dec.30th which I had originally thought it was for Jan.30th. No email confirmation was sent to me or a reminder phone call. Well to say the least, the person name Rudy told me that because there we were a "no show" and I had not cancelled 24 hours prior to my service that that they will not honor my voucher and that it will show redeemed. Well, how is this fair when I never use their services in the first place? They did not even honor the price I pay toward their full price service for next time. Instead, I forfeit my $279 money I pay with a service that my husband and I did not use. I told Rudy I expected a manager to call me back and waited an entire day with no phones return to me which prompted me to write a review.
Out of all the spa places I been, The Spa at Pelican Hill in my opinion is the worst with their service and unprofessionalism. I totally felt scam and taken advantage of by them. Do not pay high price...
Read moreThis spa day felt like a dreamy little escape. The views alone—overlooking the golf course and ocean—set the mood.
What I Loved: • The Mosaic Pedicure was the star. Luxe, grounding, and the citrus-sage scent? So good. • Post-treatment gelato on the terrace was a vibe. Peaceful and pretty…highly recommend carving out time to linger. • Valet team was top-tier. Warm, helpful, and made the whole arrival feel elevated.
A Few Things to Know: • The spa is indoors and gender-separated—very peaceful, but not co-ed. • Didn’t see a spa food menu, though I was told about it. If you’re hoping to order something, ask early. • A few things were oddly unstocked (like marble holders at the sinks and toilet paper in the restroom), even though it was quiet and early. • If it’s your first time, don’t be afraid to ask for a little extra guidance at check-in—it’s a big space, and the handoff was a bit quick.
Quiet luxury, relaxed pace, and a great spot to treat yourself or someone you love on a...
