I typically try not to think the worst of people but I don’t think the employees here were being honest and tried to get more money out of me. I probably will not go back.
I recently went here and came across a set of books that are part of a series that were marked $2.50 each. A lady asked if she could keep them upfront for me and I agreed. I also made the mistake of mentioning how much the set would cost elsewhere and that this was a great deal. When I went to check out I was told the books were incorrectly priced and they “found” the correct tag. They then tried to sell the set of books to me for $45. Of course, I said no because that seems ridiculous for a set of books that are probably 25 years old and in “okay” condition at best. Maybe this was an honest mistake of incorrectly marked items but this tag they “found” really was not anywhere in sight when I picked up the books from the shelf. In my opinion the best thing to do customer service wise would be to honor the...
Read moreHUGE antique store. I drooled over many lovely Pyrex dishes that I couldn't quite afford, but still found a nice Fire King covered dish that was in my price range. LOTS of vinyl records, housewares, furniture, vintage toys, tools, collectibles, furniture, clothes, books and more. There was a large display of Cherished Teddies which my sister would have loved. Don't let the exterior of this shop deceive you--it doesn't look like an interesting antique store because it's in a little shopping mall near a Schnucks and other little shops and it seems bland on the outside. But there's a treasure trove inside, and it's much larger than you imagine from the outside as well. They don't see to have a website, but you can check them out on Facebook and view photos of some of the currently...
Read moreI actually found a lovely piece for my home …however, a very well dressed older woman with white hair kept following me around. I’m not exactly sure why. I picked up an item and put it back and she huffed after I put it back and proceeded to slam it on another nearby shelf. It was in a disaster of a booth filled with overflowing junk and porcelain bric-a-brac strewn ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND FALLING OFF THE SHELVES. I purchased my item and left, she was clearly a Karen… ugh. Most of the booths were strewn and cluttered. Junk all over the floors. Prices were bipolar and incredibly inconsistent. No real antiques, mostly a bunch of chipped up glassware. And don’t even look...
