Reply to firefly. Read through please 👀 If handicap people have to search for the accommodation and your reps don’t know where they are there’s problem. You have surely heard this before me. others on here saying same thing. Your venue is deplorable for concerts and parking is a joke. THERE WAS NO SHUTTLE.
PLEASE TELL ME HOW MANY HANDICAP PARKING SPOTS DO YOU HAVE?
GUEST SERVICES ONLY made sure ppl had handicap wristbands. Nothing else
definitely note worthy that we never once saw any handicap parking signs anywhere. No one else seen any either. Sadly I am confident there is not any. 2023 and still so little progress. If they are there. I will stand corrected. However nobody we spoke with had any idea where handicap parking was and nobody else saw any. NOT ONE person knew Guest or any employees
The handicap seat area is too far away from the stage to see him play and it’s right behind the people who are standing. Firefly distillery is totally NOT connected to what disabled people go through with getting in and out of places in wheelchairs walkers leg braces etc. Firefly if you read this and want to know what to do to fix it go get a wheelchair and get a person who can walk however barely and only walks with braces on their legs. Get that and spend a day there utilizing the wheelchair and the slow pace of the person walking with you learn how things really are for a handicap person. No getting out of the chair. For nothing. Try it just once. I’m looking forward to seeing how you like the rocks especially in the wheelchair. Or find a place to park and drop off your friend and scoot over 3 miles on your wheelchair to get inside the gate. It was borderline impossible to navigate.
Exiting the venue was another big issue but in reverse. The shuttle buses were not around and the crowds were walking to the overflow parking about 3 or 4 miles away. Just totally unorganized and unacceptable. Unacceptable that FFD sets the handicap people up for a very dangerous and difficult situation navigating this venue.
We never saw a handrail. Nor did we see a handicap bathroom stall We had a really good hamburger 🍔 off of a food truck. It was really a big burger and I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Also had delicious fries 🍟. I don’t remember the name
Whoever in North Charleston approved this venue needs a new job. It’s appalling and embarrassing really. Shameful
However the fans who come to see Willie were some of the kindest people I’ve ever met and they were so helpful with mom. Sitting with her. Walking around supporting her and holding things open for her etc. to Jenny and mike I hope you guys made it home safely and that you get some sleep before 430 am! It was so nice to meet y’all. 🥰
Heather & Brad y’all are amazing people and how incredibly kind of you both to help so much with mom. I wish we had exchanged phone numbers. Mom said we had a lot in common heather hugs 🥰
Frank & Diane y’all are incredible and I’m so glad that we had two open seats there beside us. Just waiting for y’all to arrive. I’m sure we’ll speak again soon. Thank you for the great pictures 🥰
Also the venue employee who was actually in the handicap seat section was extremely kind and helpful. I didn’t get her name but she was really helpful also. Thank you
We left happy to have been able to hear live music from Willie and happy for all the wonderful people we met and hopeful that he plays in the North Charleston coliseum next time. We both agreed that the firefly distillery is not anywhere we would come back to.
The people next to us walked close to the stage and took the picture. We could not see him
Oh beware the roads in North Charleston are not in good condition and obviously not receiving the proper repairs. I probably hit 10 deep pot holes in the area on a 5 mile stretch. Do better...
Read moreAwesome property, lots of opportunity, however when I visited today they did a really poor job of preparing and hosting their event. So much so, I left without even tasting their product and worse, I never even saw it. When I walked up I was impressed by a large outdoor seating area, a food truck and live music playing. We met a lady at the front door who checked our ID's and suggested we do a tasting but we could order single beverages if we wanted. She mentioned she would tell me where to do that, but then never did. I forgot to remind her before going inside. I didn't see any signs or indication of where I could purchase drinks. I walked around the gift shop, and the small self guided tour, then went back out front to get something to eat from the swig and swine food truck. I didn't walk through the hallway leading to the tasting room inside, because the lady out front told me I had to purchase tickets to a tasting. So we went out front, I ordered 2 burgers, beans and potato salad. To my disappointment, they were not serving any drinks. Not even soda or water. So we got our food and couldn't find anywhere to sit and listen to the music as the only tables that were free, were tables with no chairs or benches. Really don't understand the point of that. No drinks and no seating, we decided to go back to the truck to eat and we left. I don't understand why they wouldn't have their product on display, or make sure that guests know exactly where to purchase drinks by signs or better yet, having a bar out front. If the bar was out back, I didn't know how to get there. Additionally, they are hosting this live music event, yet are serving any drinks out front, idk... The whole setup just didn't make sense to me. The final thought which is more about swig and swine, not firefly, but the food wasnt that great. The smoked burger was ok, and the beans were sub par at best. They tasted like campbell's chunky beans in a can with 1 or two overcook small pieces of brisket. I didn't finish them. The potatoe salad however, was delicious.
Overall, based on this experience I wouldn't go back or recommend this...
Read moreWhile Charleston these past few days we had looked into visiting your distillery mostly because my wife is an avid whiskey person.
We checked over your webpage on Thursday and Friday including the shopping area and decided to go on Saturday. Saturday morning we saw on the news that $10 prepayment would get us in, $20 at gate. We searched in vain on the website well before opening time and found no such offer, in fact there was not much real info about the festival at all under "happenings", but decided to head out that way anyway. When we were at the gate we asked one of the money takers if the $20 included a free tasting and were told yes. She gave us a brochure with very little pertinent info about the festival for first time people. We then stood in line for about 10 minutes and went into the tasting room only to find out we needed a ticket! Well that of course was an additional $12, although the woman selling tickets did offer us one free wine tasting ticket which we turned down as we came to taste whiskey. Disappointed we went into the store so my wife could buy a t shirt. Surprisingly the shirt was $10 more than it was on line! We are upset by now so we talked to the woman who had offered us a free wine ticket and she did honor the online price. We then left.
Much of our troubles could have been avoided with some info on the website or the very least at the gate, we could have came on Friday had we known. We missed out on tasting your product and possibly buying it, instead we paid $20 for a good band and someone to show us where to park.
Thanks Ed...
