Fantastic place for a party! We love classes at Big Picture, and our birthday party was a great experience, start to finish. Adam was helpful answering all my questions on the planning end. Our theme wasn’t exactly typical, but Bree crafted a custom Kuromi painting lesson for the artists’ skill level. We brought decorations but didn’t really need them because the space is naturally festive. The energy and kindness Bree and Leah brought to the instruction put everyone at ease, and the party flowed so smoothly! Bonus—If you’re accident prone like I am, the space is extremely forgiving of spills! This was engaging and fun while also sensory-friendly for the sound/motion sensitive. My 5yo daughter is obsessed with art, so when Big Picture came to town, I wanted to give it a try. We started with a three-hour workshop before signing on for a full session of classes, and although she was a little shy at drop-off, when the workshop was over, she asked my husband (who was a few minutes late picking her up), "Why did you pick me up so early, Daddy? I want to stay!" So, we knew she'd love the regular session classes, and asked for two gift certificates for Christmas from the grandmas (I like that gift certificates are an option!). Best birthday for our Toddler! We reached out the the studio and told them we were wanting to do a dinosaur themed party and they whipped up some ceramics for the boys to paint. The staff were so wonderful accommodating to the little ones (3-4year olds). There wasn't a dull moment. Thank you Amy! There was coloring, painting, and crafts. We did pizza from Wig and Penn since the studio shares a parking lot with them in North Liberty. Then there was cupcakes and presents.
