If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen, took it in to get it repaired and they had to order the parts for it which took an entire week. It cost me $160 to get it fixed, and it didn't even work. The phone is constantly glitching and the screen is unresponsive over 90% of the time I'm using it. I took it back a second time and explained to them that it wasn't working, so they took it back to take a look. It worked well for the first couple hours of usage and then basically stopped altogether. The screen is literally coming off and I have to restart the phone every time I want it to work for five minutes, only for it to become unusable again.
Here's where it gets crazy: I took it in a third time and asked for a refund, and they said NO! They told me if I wanted a refund I'd have to give them my phone so they could take this screen off and put the broken one back on. Nowhere in their contact does it mention "we'll rebreak your device if you ask for a refund". I even asked the guy at the counter where their policy said that and all he could come up with was "uhhh". There IS a warranty on it for 90 days if there's no damage to the screen. Mine had the smallest scratch and they refused to implement the warranty because of it. They told me I could buy a screen from someone else and they would install it (probably wrong again, let's be real) but the guy at the counter basically lied about how much it costs them to buy a screen. What doesn't make sense to me is how they would purchase it for $160 and then charge $160 because that's basically free labor on their end. I lost a week of my time and $160 out of my pocket. This place is ridiculous. Don't...
Read moreMy brother and I attempted to repair my moms battery issue and we turned it into a her phone won’t turn on and her screen went blank issue. If your mom is like mine, she takes very good care of her phone, and she has had it for many years. We went for the cheap fix but we were not careful enough.
I thought I had backed everything up on her google and Samsung account so it was a huge surprise when we got her new phone and a lot of her pictures and contacts went missing. My heart sank at the idea that my mom just lost 10 years of photos.
I went to a sprint repair store but they couldn’t do anything. I went to Ubreak ifix and they don’t work on Samsung phones. When I called the Smartphone Repair Center I was praying for a miracle. The wonderful people here were able to use their tech to juice up my moms phone battery (the phone completely taken apart still) and transfer that data over to her new phone. A...
Read moreI think it was Doug I dealt with through Google Chat and in person at drop off. He was extremely pleasant and informative, explaining what the initial inspection minimum fees are as well as the per job pricing. Within seconds of holding the device, his observations and knowledge allowed him to inform me of things unlike any other cellular "repair" companies have in the past. Again, with in seconds, he provided more intel than Sprint's supposed technicians can find out in days. Of course they are trained to be realistic about what your expectations should be, when talking about all the technology packed into such a tiny device, unexpected damages are simply a reality. This comes from experience. But smartphone repair center is definitely the go to place from now on. I'm not certain what all they are able to repair, but if I find something that I feel Doug can fix, I'll definitely be...
