Well worth a visit! A hidden gem in the town of Northumberland. Had passed this museum many times and never stopped. Was so glad I finally did. The volunteer staff is knowledgeable and informative and make you feel like family. The house tour is informative and well worth the small admission charge. This was my first time there and they were celebrating Priestley's birthday so admission was free and there was a birthday cake. A retired chemistry teacher, who portrays Dr. Priestley, spoke about 'his' life and then conducted 18th century chemistry demonstrations for half an hour. He is awesome!!!
