The atmosphere is very calming. There is a lot of history to take in here posted on the ways every turn you take. The bar gives you that New England feel (even though they have Philadelphia Eagles decor! Which is a plus). The staff is nice, I may have been harsh to take a start away, though a missed meal is a missed meal even if it is a large gathering. The quality of the food versus the price is another subject all on its own. If you like overcooked (asking for medium rare) burgers, then go on in. I'm a pressed pattie kind of guy, not a big dry meatball on a bin kind of guy. It was too be smothered in barbecue sauce, though it was not. I had to ask for extra, which is usually not the case in most places I've been. My daughter ordered the chicken alfredo. It was very spicy for her as I had to finish that for her as well. The food needs attention.

We had hoped to sit outside but the weather turned so the restaurant called and they started is upstairs away from any other people. It was a Monday night so it wasn't crowded but it was nice of them to open the separate section for us. The waitress was wonderful. The menu has several dishes that can be ordered either as a dinner or a small plate. The dinner had salad or soup but the small plate has two sides, a drink and dessert. Hard to discern why but the salad with the small plate is $5 more. The crab cakes are pretty good (a little too salty) and the small plate is one instead of two. The piece of salmon on the small plate looked like between 1/4 and 1/3 pound so don't order if you're hungry. The coffee ice cream with cookie chips was excellent.

What a beautiful place inside and out. Got the old train sitting out front. Very nostalgic piece of history. But the dining room inside is straight out of a movie. Got three floors of dining and if you look down you can see everyone down at the bar. Very beautiful. Old style lighting makes it much better. It was a gorgeous day out. So we ate outside on the patio. Very nice and quiet. The food was delicious. I had the New York Limited. Which is a Ruben sandwich with fries. šŸ˜‹ Yummy. Had the calamari for an app. Great food and a wonderful time. Will be back for more soon.šŸš‚šŸšƒ

This place is really neat to stop in and visit. Part of the restaurant is a passenger train car and the bar area is very unique and has a great feel to it. I had the quesadilla, which was larger than I expected, it was a full 12 inches, not the usually folded in half tortilla. I will say the outside edge of about 1 inch was bare of any toppings, but over all tasted excellent. The waitress was fairly odd though, I sadly do not recall her name. When it came time to order she took my menu before I ordered, not a big deal, just odd. I've never had that happened before, I usually like to reference the menu when ordering in case there are extra options I need to choose from, luckily my order was pretty easy. I ordered a soup, but they were out of it and the waitress just brought me another option, corn chowder I believe. She said if I didn't like it she could remove it from the bill. Again, not a big deal, just odd again. It was actually pretty good, but if given the choice I probably would have just skipped the soup that evening. On the bright side I got to try something new I likely would not have tried otherwise. When delivering someone else's appetizer, crab dip, she stood next to the area where the person was sitting that ordered it, but there was a plate in the way, gave a strange look to my wife until my wife moved the plate that was in the way, just more strange I guess. The crab dip was very good by the way. Overall a really cool place to visit, I think next time I'll try...

Just had dinner at Front Street Station in Northumberland. We have been going to FSS for over 20 years and never had a meal as bad as we had tonight! There was four of us for dinner. Remember the box with bread, cheese spread, garlic butter, regular butter and crackers that used to be served with the meal? No more! We got a small wire basket with two slices of bread (four people remember), cheese and garlic spreads and some butter packs. No more crackers. My friend and I each ordered craft beers. He was given a half full glass of beer and told they ran out. I was given a glass three-quarters full and told nothing? My better half and I ordered the roast beef dinner specials. The roast beef was overly done and as dry as newspaper! The stuffing was buried under the meat and also dried out. The mashed potatoes and carrots were the only part of the meal that was made right. And, there was no gravy on anything! We were not offered any water with our meals either.

The dinner specials include a desert. When it came time for the desert, we were not offered our ā€œincludedā€ deserts, we had to ask the waitress for them. She told my better half she could have pie, but when she gave me the check, we were charged for the pie because it was not one of the ā€œincludedā€ deserts.

I understand the restaurant is has a new owner and some changes have been made. Unfortunately, we’re making a change as a result. Front Street Station is no longer on our...

I need to start by saying that this was during pandemic times. So, the food: It was delicious, but the portions were disappointing. I don’t believe that the taste of the food was enough to warrant the price in light of the small portion. I am to understand that the salad was not great in part to the dressing being too oily. Staff: We were assigned a waitress who they must have picked up at random. She was wearing inappropriate attire for a woman of her age. She also took my order wrong. When we finished eating, which took little time because of the small portion size, we had to wait around for what felt like ten minutes before we got the check; this was especially bothersome because of... The atmosphere: I wanted to leave. It could have been really nice, but there were two big issues. The first issue was the bugs. There were several flies buzzing around and constantly running into me. I couldn’t sit and eat in peace for a minute without swatting the air. We were seated outside, but they could have still attempted to deal with this issue. The other problem was the noise. There was a man on a stage with a guitar and a drummer making a terrible racket. The music posse was far too loud; I could not hear my companion who was sitting across our tiny table unless they shouted.

I might try this place again. The food did taste good.. maybe when they get back...
