We had my daughterâs 4th birthday party at the South Shore Natural Science Center in March 2016. I could not have been more impressed with the facilities. The Vine Hall is a great space that you can rent for events, with large windows that provide a scenic view of the outside, and you can use to put removable decorations. The staff are excellent and very helpful - I canât say that enough. They asked me how I would like the tables and had the room set up for me to decorate. The kids arrived and did crafts and coloring pages. All guests visit the Eco zone museum and took a walk outside to see the animals. It was a nice day and my daughter's pinata was hanged on the tree. Everyone had a great time and things worked perfectly. As a courtesy, the staff in charge read an awesome book for the kids. Every one was engaged. I recommend the Vine Hall for any one thatâs hosting an event. And just to keep in mind they allow you to serve alcohol. On their website click on GROUPS and you can choose from the different birthday party packages they offer. I personally, prefer to do my own party, and I love doing that! I checked out all lot of places to rent, and I found the Vine Hall the most suitable in terms of space and natural beauty. I did a Butterfly Themed party and there could not have been a better place to host it. It came out beautiful! Thank you South Shore Natural...
Read moreItâs taken me a few months to post this review because I really had to sort my feelings on what occurred at this school. My son (3) attended this program for a few weeks back in the fall. Some days I would stay in the parking lot and watch him for a bit before leaving. One day, he had a substitute (who apparently is one of their veteran teachers) and I stayed to watch to make sure he adjusted ok. I watched him sit down on a stump and some bully kid come over screaming that this is âhis stumpâ etc etc until the teacher came over. The teacher physically grabbed my son by the arm and ripped him off the stump. I called and emailed the director who told me that this teacher is loud. We unenrolled him. Honestly itâs sat unwell with me since then and I probably should have filed a complaint with the state just to make sure things are investigated. No one should ever be putting a hand on your child especially in an aggressive authoritative way. Stay clear from this place it seems most of the positive reviews are from before they had ymca involvement. I also once watched them lose a kid as he was behind a tree. Someone could have just snatched him from the parking lot. The security here is...
Read moreThe kids Enjoy the Corn Festival, we got tickets online and they will give you the physical ticket once your there and you can buy Corn on the cob, apple cider Juice, there was a Two Trucks one had Ice cream and the other one sweet treats dough and Ice cream. I have posted a picture of the menu. It was a good small event but lots of people lines are long and you have to park outside on the side of the road if the parking lot gets full. It was a good event but long lines for the activities. We are part of the South Shore YMCA so we wanted to contribute and attend to show support. It was our first year. It was a nice time for the kids. If your looking for a dessert kind of food they have it but a lunch for the kids you wont find it they had corn muffin, corn chowder, which I regreat not buying. You can bring your own lunch and snacks and have a picnic with the kids there is plenty of space to sit. I would do it again but only if I go more prepared with a Lunch or snack...
