I absolutely loved this place for as long as i could remember coming here. But recently with their new staffs, a certain tattoo bald middle age man, i don’t ever want to step foot in this store again. I don’t understand what it is with this man but he is ruining my favorite place to shop. i come here almost eve Sunday for the past 5 years and i have never seen him before until my recent two visit. i never once have had a problem with the staff here, they’ve always been extremely sweet and all, but why is it that the two times i come into contact with this man he has yelled at me for something? first it was because i took off my shoe? mind you i feet were sore, but i wasn’t walking around or placing them on furniture, they were on top of my shoe. when he walked by and saw it, he threatened to take my picture and get me kicked out of the store, and this was right after he yelled at another lady for putting her clothes on the furniture. which she was sorting things out though her cart? why is he yelling at full volume over thing like this? and that brings me to today. I was at the jewelry section waiting for someone to come, and it had been over 10 min with no staff to show up. When he came up i called him over but he point blankly ignored me then when i called for someone else, he told me that there no one there, but i had gotten another workers attention so i called him over and the tattoo man who ignored me told me not to be rude and that all the workers are busy and that i was being all kind of disrespectful, at full volume again. I don’t understand what the need to be so rude is, i believe he might...
Read moreScathing. Bought a chair for a bargain of 6.99 plus tax. Tried to get it in my car to no avail, and was told to keep the yellow copy of the receipt and present it when I came back for it. Called twice with no answer to say that I wasn't going to get the chair. Come in today to a VERY unpleasant associate and an infuriatingly rude manager who talked down to me, talked to me as if I were stupid and said "everyone knows that if we sell a piece of furniture the hold is only good for 24 hours then we resell it. We're very clear"to which I replied "I totally get it. I'm in retail also. But it wasn't clear because nobody told me" then they tell me my receipt isn't THE receipt to which I replied that that was the receipt I was given and told to present. She begrudgingly offered to give me 6.99 towards something in the store after she said "yeah. You've said our policy wasnt told to you like six times. I get it." Which left a sour taste in my mouth and I just said "you know what. I very respectfully think you have a bad attitude and I'm just going to leave. Have a nice day." As I was leaving I overheard her commenting on how I didn't bring the receipt WHICH I BROUGHT THE RECEIPT I WAS GIVEN. I'm not upset over the $7 . I'm upset over being treated disrespectful and as "less than". I went in well dressed, polite, understanding and was still disrespected. Nobody should be treated as anything less than human. This manager has very poor customer service skills and as a manager of a store,...
Read moreThe prices at this Savers location are getting a bit high, but the selection is generally much better than your average thrift store, which is only a good thing for a thrift store to do these days. Having everything priced at rock bottom ensures that the stuff that remains is abject trash as the resellers have cleaned out everything good by 5 minutes past open.
The resellers you do occasionally see in the store generally aren't the needlessly rude variety (talk down to staff, tell you that they were here first), or the borderline criminal variety (rip price tags off things to get a reprice, take items out of other people's carts), either the staff refuses sale/ban them from the store when they do that, or the higher prices makes the margins at this store unappealing for the lower tier of resellers.
There are times where pricing doesn't reflect reality, like the pricetag is still on the item from the Christmas Tree shops and the savers price is 2 dollars above that. Dollar store items with 5.99 price labels. Sometimes used media, CDs, DVDs, books, etc. being priced above the New, Shipped to your door, Amazon pricing.
Overall a nice place for an individual...
