I've only been a couple of times so far, but have enjoyed everything to this point. Today I got the Scituate Fog and loved it. I love the atmosphere, the big screen of Scituate Harbor, and the location. Looking forward to returning with my wife to try a couple of the bowls. I may also soon sign out a work space for my forth-coming dissertation. Will update the review after these experiences, but I at least wanted to say, "Great!" to this point and happy to support local businesses. Thanks.
UPDATE: We went to try a couple of the bowls to go for my wife's birthday yesterday. My pan Asian bowl was pretty good. Other reviews are correct about the small portion size, but I didn't mind as it was lunch and the chicken was actually a pretty good amount (and pretty tasty). But my wife's Farm-n-Field bowl wasn't great. The flavor just wasn't there. We were actually wondering if maybe the Fuji-Apple drizzle never made it on the bowl. The concepts of these bowls are great and we will try again another time.
SECOND UPDATE: Back to five stars.
I tried out a private work room today. It was wonderful. For me, working within the busyness of the cafe and yet undistracted in a private room is a great environment for productivity.
Also, my wife came for a brief lunch visit and we tried two more different bowls than our last visit. They were excellent this time around. I'm thinking last time was just an off day. She had an acai bowl that she loved and I devoured the border bowl. So good.
Two notes on the room rental: I'd think that for $25 for a four hour block, a cafe might offer unlimited tea or coffee. It may not really be four hours like the website says, so be careful as you consider which block to book. Mine was actually...
Read moreI’ll start off this review with a brief disclosure, I’m being brutally honest and you’ll need to read all of it to get my summarized opinion.
The food and drinks? Absolutely fantastic.
I don’t believe I’ve ever tasted such a fresh Mediterranean Bowl, and the “Minot” was excellent. The matcha actually tasted premium, just as it was advertised.
The service? That’s where they’ll need some work.
The food was served politely and promptly. The drinks took quite a long time, and it was never really clear when our order was ready. We had to ask a few times, and it seemed like we were bothering the server. Granted it was a busy morning, though a business needs to be able to properly adjust their operation to account for higher volume.
Here’s the part I might be judged for, but like I mentioned, it’s a brutally honest review.
I’ve been to many different types of neighborhoods, and the overall experience should never feel this pretentious. I understand the surrounding neighborhood might be upper class, from what I was witnessing, but the same “feel” was behind the counter. I say this because I didn’t feel like we were customers, it felt more like they were doing us the favor of allowing us to be in line.
My suggestion?
Smile more, interact with the customers in a more individually social style. Your business is clearly doing well, and I think it would do even better if you added this last, easily attainable detail. That’s the only reason I’ve rated 4...

I'm a fan.
Lucky Finn is a locally-owned business, currently w/two locations - Hanover & Scituate.
The Scituate location is literally right on the ocean and has outdoor seating and ridiculous lobster rolls made with local catch. It is beautiful.
The Hanover location lacks the view that Scituate has, but it's convenient to the highway, has a beautiful interior and a massive flatscreen - and I do mean massive that is always showing the view of Scituate harbor as seen from the deck of their sister restaurant.
The Hanover restaurant also has some outdoor seating - with more to come - which, during the pandemic, gives one the option of picking up a sandwich or a bowl and then sitting a social distance away in the sun. Nice.
Everything I've had here has been solid, and their portions are ample enough that I only eat half of what I ordered and take the other half home.
The picture I've attached is of their Tuna Melt w/avocado on sourdough bread. It's good, but not as good as the breakfast sandwich I had on their everything bagel. That was money.
Important to note that LF does a really good job hiring the right people for their customer-facing roles. Every time I've visited, the staff has been friendly, smiling, happy, hard-working, and eager to please. They are a pleasure to interact with.
If you're in the area of either locale, I'd suggest giving them a try.
Oh, and they have good...
